Re: Let's Really Protect Our Schools

If you ever want to learn how to launch a MK48 torpedo and what all goes into torpedo fire control and target tracking and analysis, look me up. Not all "combat" is done on the ground. Trust me, I'm not trying to denigrate anyone's service. I am simply saying that for the purposes of this...

Re: Let's Really Protect Our Schools

FYI, although I had 8 years of active duty in the USAF I never once had any training in firearms or ever touched a military weapon. The closest I came to weapon training was watching an AR-15 shot at a watermelon. All firearm use that I had was on my own. The concept that military service and firea...

Re: 30.06 on INSIDE doors

Trey and SoccerDad, I hear what you are saying... but there is more to it than just that. I used the example of a family member in the hospital on purpose. The conundrums of the law are that Hospitals are listed in 46.035 (b)(4) as being statutorily off-limits. Then in 46.035 (i), it states that (b...

Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

somewhat related question.....a friend is posting memes that this is the "29th" school shooting of the year? Where can I find the truth? Ben Shapiro just made an excellent video on this topic on his facebook page Start by defining the term "school shooting". This is like every o...

Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

From what I have heard about most of those mass shooters, they generally stop as soon as they meet armed resistance (or unarmed sometimes). Many times one armed person firing back in enough. They just need to be in the right place to do it. How many armed people you need to insure someone is there ...

Re: 30.06 on INSIDE doors

You guys are not reading this right. (Editing now) How are we not reading it right? I'm anxiously awaiting this as well. Here is my take. For non-statutorily restricted locations like a private residence or private business, 30.06 would be the relevant standard, not 46.035. And 30.06 does not inclu...

Re: Interesting Non Car Buying Experience

As for extended warranties - they can be hand for the same coverage for far less expensive elsewhere beyond the dealership. What? When I bought my last Tundra, they at the dealership wanted to sell me an extended warranty with a $50.00 deductible for an enormous amount of money. No, I don't recall ...

Re: 30.06 Ruling Letters

I may be wrong, but... I thought I had heard from one of the Texas Firearms Coalition podcasts that the off limits for school functions only applies to grounds under the school’s control. Otherwise, if you are eating in a restaurant, and a school bus full of kids on a field trip stop in, you are in...

Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

I agree with the cultural problems, and that’s obviously much more difficult to address. Why can’t Republicans introduce a bill that would fund the salaries of armed officers in every school in America. The cost of this should be minimal compared to the impact of the tax cuts recently passed. It is...

Re: Armor Piercing - Sell Buy Make Use ?

I had no idea my tracers were heat seeking. And all this time I thought of them as heat emitting. It is a well known fact that you should always stand near (but not too close to) a heat source during a fire fight. That way the heat seeking bullets will be diverted away from you. Definitely do not r...

So basically, on the one hand it should be mandatory, but then again it would be wrong for anyone to enforce the mandate, so it really shouldn't be mandatory?

I can kinda sorta follow that.

Re: Kansas Professor resigning - Campus Carry

I am all for campus carry, but also think that some training is a good thing. I agree and I think it should be mandatory but then I don't believe in the government having the power or authority to mandate such. Catch 22. Do you think it should be mandatory to have people get parenting classes befor...
