Re: Kahr P9

I had a friend that showed me his last April. I fell in love with it, and had to have one. I came home, did some research, one website rabbit hole led to another, and I ended up fondling and buying at M&P Shield Performance Center .40. That being said, I still will end up with that Kahr at some...

Re: Drones Good or Bad

Very scary video. Something like this in the wrong hands (like any government) would be extremely dangerous.

Re: Crypto-currencies

Call it what you will - it's stil gambling. I'm not an anti-gambling kinda guy. I'm invested in a number of things, and yep, I could lose my shirt. Or, make good money. Not great money, my investments are conservative. One thing though, bandwagon investing isn't for me... IMHO, the term "gambl...

Re: Self driving vehicles creep me out. How will feds mandate purchases?

I don't currently embrace this technology, but I could see a situation where it could be (slowly) implemented safely. Here in Houston, I live out on the west side of town. Right down the middle of I-10, we have the four managed lanes of traffic. If you enter those, you'll either be paying a toll or...

Re: Semiauto "Mouse" guns always out of stock

Low demand and low margins. Why waste floor plan dollars and display space? I can see that being an issue for 25 and 32 ACP which are less effective and more expensive than the popular 380 ACP, but one would think 22 LR would still have an appeal being so cheap and fun to shoot. But then again, onl...

Re: Self driving vehicles creep me out. How will feds mandate purchases?

This fancy new technology scares me. Give me my horse and buggy. Seriously, though I agree with the sentiments above that the technology will continue to improve, and acceptance of it will continue to grow. After all, the other alternative (human drivers) isn't exactly setting a high bar, safety wis...

Re: Gun Buster Signs

O.K., then why the need for 30.06 /07 signs with specificity in both English and Spanish in 1" size letters? Or, is that just boiler plate that can be ignored if the business decides to notify with wee size hand outs at their discretion? Or can they tell you're a CCer and hey man, you can't co...

Here is a link to a post just like this made several years ago. http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=51999 But I copied one particular post from that below.. I don't know if this user still comes to the forum or not, but thought it worth posting. e: Blind CHL applicant by mikeloc » Wed Jan ...

Ah, so the person receiving the tickets / receipts would receive notice. That's usually my teenage daughter when we go out to the movies.

Re: Gun Buster Signs

rtschl, That's interesting, but I'm puzzled about the mechanics of someone printing (presumably) hand size cards with all the 30.06 wording and how they go about distributing them? If I enter your business as a concealed carrier, am I supposed to grab a card, like folks who pick a number as the nex...

Re: Gun Buster Signs

Tex has a great summary above. To me a "no firearms" sign on a business means something similar to a "no gas" sign at a gas station, or a "no vacancy" sign at a hotel / motel. It is simple English. The place in question does not have the thing that comes after the word...
