Re: Police Chief Realizes Gun Missing - After 4 Days

I'm not an expert, but I think this guy may be better suited for another line of work. Anything that involves an absolute minimum of responsibility should work. Maybe fry cook at the local McDonalds?

Re: Now this is the reason why I carry

lildave40 - sounds like you were thinking on your feet and handled the situation beautifully. I would like to point out something, not as an attack on what you did, but more as food for thought. You have the right to meet force with force. They threatened bodily harm and had a weapon that could bac...

Re: Now this is the reason why I carry

What did law enforcement say when they arrived? When the attendant came back she said she called. Waiting 20 minutes and no show so I left. Yes I left my information with the clerk. And this is exactly why everyone needs to carry, all the time. LE can't always be there to protect us from harm. Some...

Re: Taking on the Cedar Park Center - Heb Center

Well, the City of Cedar Park responded (the city attorney specifically) to my inquiry within about an hour on a Sunday evening. I'll call that good service even if I didn't like the contents of the answer. He pointed to the OAG opinion here: https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/opinions/opinions/51...

Re: Liability of business owners who ban licensed handguns

Anywhere that posts a 30.06 sign should be fully liable both civilly and criminally for any injury to a CHL holder caused by a criminal action while on their premises. Why? Did someone force you to enter the establishment? If you don’t like the way someone does business go elsewhere. Did someone fo...

Re: In your home with workmen present

I don't carry 24/7 since I don't have a gun on while I am sleeping and while I am showering (a gun is feet away in both cases). Do I qualify to answer? Even if I carried less frequently, I would definitely carry anytime someone I didn't know well was in my home. My father owned a carpeting business ...

Re: Why do we need 30.06/7?

What offends me about this whole 30.06 thing is that the signs attempt to restrict what I'm wearing that unexposed to anyone. I can carry a pocket knife or a can of mace or leftist propoganda in my pants it's nobodys business but my own. I don't believe that any business or private citizen should h...

Re: Why do we need 30.06/7?

I often wonder why it is not legal to ban someone from your business because they are asian, or black, or whatever, but it is legal to ban them because they are legally carrying a weapon. As I understand it, if a business is open to the public, they have to accommodate ALL the public. So why are bu...

Sorry all. The Shield is sold.

I will likely be listing some more pocket guns in early to mid December, though. Just need to sort through the safe a bit.

Mods - please close.

Re: Why do we need 30.06/7?

While I'm occasionally frustrated by a 30.06/30.07 sign, I feel businesses should be less regulated by the government, not more. I'd prefer we start someplace other than with rights that are specifically enumerated in the Constitution. How about allowing businesses to opt out of ADA regulations, or...

SOLD I highly recommend doing business with soccerdad (LTC holder). 10/10 transaction Thanks. And thanks for the great deal on this beauty. I will definitely enjoy it, even if it does put a dent in my efforts to clear room in the gun safe ;-). Guess I will just have to find a few more things to sel...

Re: Southwest pilot arrested after gun found in carry-on luggage

I believe the exemption in Texas is only if you have an LTC and are carrying or have it in your bag as you go through the non-secure to the secure area. If they find the gun than you can go back to the non-secure area area without being arrested. I do not think this covers having a gun in "che...

Re: Southwest pilot arrested after gun found in carry-on luggage

Thanks for the quick response, guys. That's comforting. It looks to me like it includes carrying on your person as well as in a carry-on though. I believe it does. Although honestly I think it would be very unlikely for someone to forget they had a gun on their person. Maybe if they were wearing a ...

Re: Southwest pilot arrested after gun found in carry-on luggage

... if we forget about a gun in our checked bag, we are given the opportunity to rectify the situation as opposed to being arrested. Can you please direct me to the source of that? I've not heard that, but it is refreshing. Thank you. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/06/foghorn/new-texas-law-n...
