wedding & baby

Off-topic, but thought I would throw out a prayer request. I'm getting married in a few weeks and, though not ideal, we already have a baby on the way. Prayers for financial provision, now and when the baby arrives, would be much appreciated. Lots of change all at once and things are going to be tig...

SOLD - Plate Carrier w/Level 3+ Armor from Spartan Armor Systems

I am downsizing my collection and raising money for a new baby on the way. I have a brand new plate carrier with Level 3+ front, back, and side plates from Spartan Armor Systems. It has never even been in the field. Brand new. Patches, holster, and mag pouches included. Buyer must been in North/Nort...

Re: CZ Scorpion Evo3 S1 w/Custom Case

Trying this one more time...I had several interested buyers before, but none ever came through. I have a baby on the way and need to downsize my collection. This Scorpion is less than a year old and has only been to the range a handful of times. Accepts stock or chin rest and also has a threaded ba...

Feds warn of threat to churches this weekend

No "specific, credible threat", but they say ISIS has suggested sympathizers target holiday gatherings this weekend. Probably nothing new, but I'll be carrying a few extra mags at the Christmas Eve service tonight. http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/23/politics/feds-warn-of-isis-threats-to-churche...

:iagree: Good point here. If the police did not give them a jump, or stand by while a AAA-type service came to help, that tells me that they didn't really need a jump and they were up to no good. Well done, OP.

Re: Revolver help

I have a Taurus 85, that I put aftermarket woods grips on, that acts as my bedside gun/backup. Definitely did not break the bank, and it shoots true. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. $300, or less if on sale, at Academy.

Re: Just Got Plastic, Looking For Advice on Clothing

In the I like the Duluth Trading long sleeve shirts worn as a jacket. They conceal well even when the shirt is unbuttoned. I also find that 4 o'clock is easier to conceal and drive, while less likely to interfere with pockets. Agreed. Stick with your fitted t-shirts and add an oxford or duluth trad...

Re: What Last Preparations Have You made For the Inevitable?

Aside from my usual big-out gear, my truck is now loaded with a few more cases of ammo and a "not to be mentioned" black gun (black guns matter, too, y'all). I'm not a foil hat kind of guy, and I don't see the end coming anytime over the next few days. But I DO think we are ripe for some r...

Seatbelt Ticket

Got a ticket today for not wearing my seatbelt. My fault, I know. :banghead: But, wanted to brag on the Austin Police officer who pulled me over. I rolled down all the windows, hands on wheel, and had my license and LTC out and ready for him. 9mm on my hip. I handed him both licenses, and he immedia...

Glad to hear you are okay, and that Progressive has been good to you. I am a motorcycle rider myself and carry insurance with them. Regardless, its a crappy situation and I'm sorry you had to endure it. Glad all seems to have ended well. :tiphat:

Re: Where to eat in San Antonio

I always love Acenar, its a interior Mexican food place on the Riverwalk. After that, walk over to The Esquire for a cocktail. Opened shortly after prohibition where previously it was a speakeasy. Longest wooden bar in Texas and some of the best drinks you've ever had. The prices reasonable? Yeah, ...
