^^^ This. :iagree:

I agree that this isn't funny. That said, I do not know why I am laughing so hard.

It's like when you get mad at your kids and laugh at the same time. I'm so confused.

Re: Thinking About Defense of Others

In my opinion, no jury in Texas is going to convict you for walking past a 30.06 sign to save someone's life who is under active attack. You should be covered under a defense of necessity. Keep in mind that I'm not a lawyer, but I just don't see it happening. This attorney agrees with both of your ...

Good point on the medical. Would be a little awkward getting a prostate check for example with a Glock IWB.

I just hate stepping onto that scale with a couple of extra pounds...

Re: Attempted robbery at Dixie Gun and Pawn: 1911 saves the day!

Look at the video at 9 seconds. The BG looked away for a split second, which is why he ended up shooting second. There's a SA lesson for ya. Charles could have used this moment to open up a round in the chamber argument, an argument about where/how to carry, but he went for caliber...If I had time I...

Since my rep co-authored the OC bill, I assume I am safe. I really do like Jeff Leach. He should be one that we advance up the ladder if he is willing.

Re: Hillary on Heller (from the 3rd Debate)

To me this example was depressing. Trump was too dumb to know what that case was about. He was not prepared. He cannot articulate the most basic arguments regarding the constitution (it was the same on the abortion questions). I can only conclude that he can't do it because he has never believed it ...

Re: First few days Carrying....

I'm 5'11" 235lbs. I spend a long time commuting and am at a desk all day...after trying all kinds of holsters, I found that carrying at my waist just bugged me. I ended up getting an ankle holster for my glk 26 (galco ankle lite with a calf strap). Now I have one of these for every gun. It conc...

Re: Recommendations for a .22LR handgun

http://whichgun.com/img/firearms/pistols/walther/p22/2.jpg I've had one of these little Walther P22's for about 10 years or so. The wife loves to shoot this little pistol. Is it the perfect gun? No. Has it ever jammed? Yes. Is it reliable? Maybe 1200 rounds through it, and only 2 or 3 misfeeds(sp?)...

Re: Glock 42 or .380 for carry

I won't get into the "is .380ACP a self-defense caliber[?]" discussion, but I'd like to comment on the pistols. Until relatively recently, all .380ACP pistols were blow-back pistols meaning they are not a locking-breech design. (For those new to handguns, a locking-breech design is one th...

Re: The Texas secession debate is getting kind of real

It's an interesting thought experiment if nothing else. To me, there are two fundamental questions that would impact the feasibility of a secession. 1. How would the federal government react? 2. What other states / counties, etc., would join Texas? Would all of Texas secede, or just a portion? On #...

Re: 2017 Legislative Priorities

Interesting, that would be a bad unintended consequence. Perhaps the answer is to create 2 classes of LTC, one for 18-21, the other for 21+. I wouldn't like any additional restrictions, but there are probably some that people could stomach to get it through (e.g. taking into account different juven...

Re: 2017 Legislative Priorities

Lower on the priority list, but I'd like to see an 18+ requirement for LTC instead of 21. College campuses are not the safest of places (as we saw last week at UT), and most attendees are underage for LTC purposes. The girl that was killed last week was 18. I know a 20 year old kid that was an eagl...
