Re: Clearing Overgrown Land

I like the nail in a bag idea and even thought about digging a slit trench that would catch someone's front-end, but the more reasonable side of me thought like others, probably not the best idea if I want to stay out of legal troubles. Your caution is wise. A landowner owes few duties to a trespas...

Re: Zoning and the Second Amendment

The Ninth Circuit has ruled. Alameda County won. According to the Ninth Circuit, banning gun stores does not violate the Second Amendment.

For future reference, my personal pronoun is "His royal personage, King of Bexar, Lord of the Edwards Plateau, and Duke of Earl."

Politics over right and wrong? No offense, but your naivete is showing. They're not out to do good. They're out to win. They've had a setback, not a permanent defeat.

Reminds me of one of the "Lethal Weapon" movies in which the Mel Gibson character mistakes a movie shoot as a crime in progress.

I did not know what NRH stood for until I followed the link. I was curious, because it seemed a bit fancy for Point Blank, Texas.

Re: another 30.06 question

Practically, the risk that I would be discovered and successfully prosecuted for my actions is low enough that I am willing to ignore such notice, and be comfortable that I am not breaking the law. :tiphat: Fair enough, but everyone take note the comment conflates two different concepts: 1. "t...

Heckler & Koch Blackballs Israel

If you wish Israel well in its struggle to survive, you might want to be aware that Heckler & Koch will no longer sell firearms to Israel. https://bearingarms.com/tom-k/2017/09/12/hk-announce-will-no-longer-sell-weapons-country-among-others/?utm_source=badaily As the linked article suggests, Isr...

Re: Paul Ryan Dragging Feet on Reciprocity

It might be nice to see Congressmen NOT spend all their time in D.C. Is there really any reason they need to be there in session all year long? I agree. I strongly believe Texas is no worse than it is in significant part because the short legislative session limits the amount of mischief the pols c...

Re: Request for Texas AG opinion on body cams

An interesting problem. The "any recording" language is sweeping, but my guess is the courts will limit it in some way. If a bystander happens to record an incident, does the officer have a statutory right to review the bystander's recording? If the officer says there was a bystander with ...

Best wishes on the surgery. As to loading the dishwasher, you're a faster learner than I. After 47 years, I'm still not permitted to load the thing, just unload it.
