Re: wedding & baby

Prayers sent, money may be tight, but with love nothing is impossible. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials and welcoming a new life. Keep us updated, if we can help, don't hesitate to ask. Most of us have been through this. Life is not all about guns and ammo.

Re: Springfield Operator TRP

Finally got it home, and took some pictures. Only thing I've added is TLR1 light. https://s27.postimg.org/xwexudw4f/IMG_5314.jpg Next stop, range...as soon as it dries up a little. A TRP with a TLR that's too many initials for me to digest all at once!! :biggrinjester: Seriously, congrats that's a ...

Re: TABC inspector strong arming business

Well some of your suspicions may have been true! I went in today to have another chat with the owner and showed him the email from TABC. He read it, and without going into all the details and back and forth, he basically said he would feel more comfortable leaving the signs up. When I asked if it w...

Re: Shooting Kroger's In Bedford

I'll never understand someone getting so riled up over a little bent sheet metal. Isn't that why we have insurance? I accidentally had my door hit a parked car in a grocery store parking lot, real windy day, and the door was pulled from my hand. the owner was loading groceries on the other side, I t...

Re: Gentlemen... Ladies be careful out there

Great post cmgee!! An armed society is a polite society. I make sure to always be friendly towards others, it just prevents confrontations. It's hard to be mad at at someone who smiles and tells you to have a good day, opens the door for you, allows you to move in front of them in traffic, or in lin...

Re: Lever Action Rifle Caliber?

30.30 ammo is plentiful, I haven't priced it lately, but if it is just going to the range, or used as a HD or TD (truck defense) rifle I would just stick with 38/357 or 44special/44 magnum calibers. The ballistics for defensive use out of the longer barrel is more than adequate. The 30.30 will defin...

Re: TABC inspector strong arming business

Good job, I knew the TABC was very anti gun, but I hadn't heard of them imposing posting 30.06 or 30.07 signs. The legislation behind 30.06 and 30.07 is not within the TABC authority to enforce or encourage. Hopefully an agent will be corrected, an the owner can remove his signs. . On the other hand...

Re: Henry Rifles: New for 2017

The detachable magazine models are interesting. I have 2 Henry rifles that I love. My one complaint is the tube fed magazines. It makes it a bit challenging to reload at an indoor range with limited room to maneuver. I noticed the the stamping on the detachable magazine model showed to have been ma...

Re: Anti's at the Capitol Today

Typical shoddy journalism/editing by the Statesman. They state that the protestors are gathering to "speak out against permitless carry legislation – what critics have dubbed a “guns everywhere” bill – that would allow weapons in places such as bars, sports arenas and schools" What they d...

Re: HB 1050 - Ad Valorem Tax Reform

Consumption tax, even though I could see it impacting business/economy. I thought about that, and it is a valid concern. On the other hand, it would have two salutary effects: ⋅ If I'm not spending $6,352 a year just to stay in a home I already own outright, I have that much to spend on o...

Re: This Forum, What a Resource!

I have only been here for a little over a year. I've owned guns all my life, and now in my over the hill years I had sort of quit trying to learn anything new. However, I can honestly say that reading this forum for the past year, and carefully considering the wealth of knowledge that it's members ...

Yeah, sorry, not buying it. I would be very surprised, if this isn't more "fake" news. His daughter just happens to be a MDA lackey? The whole thing has a bad smell to it, like bovine scatology.
