Re: Traveling long distance with your edc...

Depending on my method of travel my wife and I both carry our M &P 9s, I will often throw in my Mossberg 500 with a bandoleer with 00 buck, #1 Buck, and slugs. As I get more proficient with my AR, it might get included, we haven't traveled far in the last few years, so we seldom venture out of S...

Re: Houston's Ben Taub Hospital Evacuated, Reports of Active Shooter Situation

If one or two people called in a "I heard shots..." and subsequently nothing was found, I would think they callers were not liars, just mistaken - heard dumpster lids slamming or something heavy dropped on the floor. but "... multiple 911 calls came in reporting an active shooter. Mo...

Re: Battle rifle???? Really?

I agree that if a battle comes and we have to fight the rifle could be considered a battle rifle. But we most likely will never be in a "battle". To me the Ar will be called whatever role it is in to me. And that's hunting and defensive. Don't get me wrong, I think we should be prepared s...

Re: Restaurant posting wrong TABC sign

I can't verify what I said, but I just remember, how TABC agents were thinly dispersed when I was a LEO, They may be more well populated than they were in the late 80s and early 90s. All of my complaints regarding improper signage etc.. have been addressed rather quickly, but I'm not in a large city...

Re: 60 minutes

They're still flogging this dead chestnut? Must be a slow news day. Maybe they're worn out by trying to take down Trump and failing. :deadhorse: I didn't see the 60 minute piece, I haven't watched 60 minutes in years, so I can't comment on anything they aired. I do believe that there is stil...

Re: Midway USA magazine sale - one day only

Fair enough... There was a time, not that long ago, I bought Glock magazines for $10.00 each, so maybe I'm stuck in yester-year... I'm often told (and laughed at) by She Who Must that my idea of the here and now is not only significantly out of date, but absurdly so...sigh Yeah, I have the same pro...

Re: Obama's continuing legacy

Jusme, I agree. The Presidents wife should'nt be empowered to force ...anything. She wasn't elected. Oh, I know, technically she isn't empowered, but with a little bureaucratic slight of hand, she was and no one in the media decried it. Fawning and gushing they embraced whatever these parallels to ...

Indeed it does. I'll add this too. COPS are masters of the practical joke.

Re: Restaurant posting wrong TABC sign

I have found that the TABC is pretty pathetic in their responsiveness to these complaints. Thankfully, I know that the law is about the designation, not the sign, so I'll carry regardless. You are the only person I've seen make such a comment about the TABC. Every other instance has been very posit...

Re: Winchester Model 21 Shotgun Value?

Hi all, My dad has a collector's set of four shotguns that he'd like to value and possibly sell. He's in Illinois and I'm in the DFW area so I'm trying to advise him and my four brothers, all of whom are in Illinois, from a distance. I may have to bite the bullet (no pun intended) and head up there...

Re: Restaurant posting wrong TABC sign

Just playing Devil's advocate here but would it possibly be better to not report an improper TABC sign? I'm thinking that if the owner / manager is otherwise against guns, then they might think they are covered since they have the red sign up. And if they are forced to put up the correct Blue sign,...
