Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

To any and all of you who are bothered by President Trump’s lack of decorum, political ineptitude and brashness, dismissing him and his actions as “un-Presidential” I think you are ignoring the precipice that this country is on the brink of going over to the destruction of the country. You think Tr...

Re: What are your 2018 shooting goals?

I have waited to reply, because, while I plan to receive additional training, get more range time, etc.. My main goal, as it is everyday that I put my gun in my hip, is to only use it to shoot, inanimate objects, like paper, steel, or other targets. The only living targets I plan to shoot, are game ...

Re: Minnesota LTCer Shoots Motorist After Car Accident

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/family-slain-teen-fled-iraq-safest-place-world-article-1.3762477 This is a stain for the LTC community, a sad and tragic event that could have been avoided. I will withhold judgement until more info is forthcoming. So far all we have is one side of the story. E...

Re: Semiauto "Mouse" guns always out of stock

Low demand and low margins. Why waste floor plan dollars and display space? This. The problem is that while 22 ammo is much cheaper, the guns are similar in price to a 380, or larger caliber. For most people a 22 is only for fun, and not for SD, so if they can only afford one, they go for a bigger ...

Re: Franklin Armory coming out with non-NFA 11.5” AR variant

Interesting. Not that this would be something I would necessarily want, I like the idea, that the ATF is starting to relax some restrictions on NFA prohibited firearms. Along with the recent amendment in Texas law, saying, basically, that if it's legal at the federal level, then it's legal here, it ...

Re: Annoying Trends.

1. How about those ads for some kind of medicine to cure a problem? They then go on to list so MANY side effects, you would probably be just as well off to stick with your original single ailment! One medicine lists "compulsive gambling" as one of your possible freebies! 2. How about TV a...

Re: Mother of dead Popeyes robber: ‘Why did he shoot him five times'

Why did she raise a son who had committed at least 5 robberies? Why did her 19 year old son, have a gun with at least 5 rounds? Why did she have to ask this question, and not her husband, the boy's father? Why wasn't her son enrolled in college, instead of robbing, families, at a fast food restauran...

Re: "Swatting" claims another innocent victim shot by LEO

This raises a couple of questions for me. How can we as potential victims prevent this type of stuff from happening? Who is the the biggest threat to our and our families safety, the good guys or the thug home invaders? These days I find the Government a bigger threat to my safety, and my stuff tha...

Re: Savage 25 .223 Walking Varminter

I don't have any direct experience with this rifle, but my son has a Savage chambered in 270, with the accu-trigger. I do like the trigger, but I'm still partial to my Ruger American, with the same type trigger. Mine is in 308, and is a tack driver. Ruger also makes the American Ranch in 223, as wel...

Re: Snatch and Grab at Church Tonight

I think you did everything you possibly could. Based on your description of the events, it sounds like you have a very vigilant team. I made the mistake of leaving a compressor unsecured in my truck at a Home Depot, once, and it had been stolen when I got back. Video for that section off the parking...

Re: "Swatting" claims another innocent victim shot by LEO

Lots of things don't make sense about this story. A lot can be blamed on poor reporting, but as a former LEO, welfare checks, even where bodily harm is claimed, never meant that a "team" of officers, surrounding a dark house in the wee hours of the morning. If they had truly knocked on the...

Re: Are Ammo Prices Ready To Drop?

I think as long as we still have leftists threatening ammo restrictions, ammo background checks, etc. the prices won't drop much, because those things cause panic buying, even if it is in smaller regional areas. Also as previously noted, manufacturers, have found out that people will pay higher pric...

This is what I put on mine. They work great and give a textured grip. Not that expensive. You will need a couple of small screwdrivers to remove them, but they stay in place.

Re: Questions About LEO's Asking For ID's When I'm Simply Passenger

Unfortunately, there are LEO who believe everyone, everywhere, must provide ID upon demand. I was trained that, those not involved, in a criminal act (being a passenger, does not make them a witness to an offense) were not required to provide ID. I could ask for it, but if they refused, I had no lega...
