Re: Which pocket do you carry your wallet in?

My wallet goes in my front left pocket. Folding blade with a clip is in the R front. I do this for two reasons: 1) In the back pocket, it can exacerbate back problems, and 2) when I carried it in my back pocket years ago, I went to pull my wallet to pay for something at the mall and discovered my ri...

Re: Ever used ABC of Reloading?

My reloading skills are self-taught though reading this book and others like it. I think I still have mine, but I haven't opened it in a LONG time.

Re: What's the Origin of Your User Name?

Years ago, my wife and I ran a media company that had "Studios" in its name. I was much younger then, a-la "kid." I've had the username for years.... plus it cuts down on trying to find username that's not already taken.

Re: A Question for Motorcycle Owners...

In the past, I have wrenched on my own bikes. Changed clutches, adjusted valve trains, synch'd carbs, changed sprockets and chains, suspension work, etc. I've gone so far as to split the case on an old two-stroke I had... but that was years ago when I could tolerate being stooped over a bench or the...

Re: Dealerships (and other businesses) posting signage

Just a suggestion - as the person you are dealing with probably believes the conversation he is having with you is private, I doubt he would want part of that last communication posted on a public forum. I would suggest deleting portions of it. :thumbs2: Fair enough, although I have not posted all ...

Re: Dealerships (and other businesses) posting signage

Fellas, I have had a short exchange with the owner of this dealership that I would like some input on. Regarding this forum, I left off with the post at the top of this page to which I replied: Thanks for the note, Jason. I'm sorry to hear about your wife's ailment. As a health care professional and...

Re: FL: Dispatcher sends police to wrong home 9 rounds fired

A little OT, but I thought it was worth posting. I highly recommend a camera system. Since we have no fences around our place, I have 8 units that cover every angle to/from our house. I once had someone knock on the door at 2:30am. It wasn't a loud, break down the door type of knocking, but it was e...

Re: Dealerships (and other businesses) posting signage

Got this from the owner just a few minutes ago. Hi, I read your emails to Seth and doing a little research. I have been out of the office for six months with a sick wife, so I really haven't thought much about this. I will tell you that we have a dealer association that did a bunch of research... Th...

Re: McDonald's employee shot during robbery sues company

$1M dollars? If McDonalds was smart, they'll try to settle for 1/2 of that and as a condition of the settlement, require it remain undisclosed. Considering their size, I could see litigating the awards in the other case mentioned. It'll cost them more to take the case to a jury trial than to settle ...

Hi all. Yep, forum newb here. Post #1.... "Good morning, this is Seth, General Manager at Hiley Hyundai.....I also addressed the compliance of our signage with him as far as the way the signs were facing and them not being on contrasting backgrounds and that will be fixed" I know that thi...

Re: Dr doesn't want to see me anymore

I work in an ER, which many patients use as a clinic. MDs here have the luxury of telling a patient no because they think they don't have other options. This just isn't the case, even for the uninsured. Medical care is a two way street.

Find a new doctor.

Re: Dealerships (and other businesses) posting signage

In talking to car dealers, here is a point that all dealers and customers need to consider. A person that brings their car to a dealership's service department will have to disarm and leave that gun in the car, while surrendering the keys, if no form of carry is allowed. This is not a good situatio...
