Re: No place but home- Fed raid on P Diddy's house finds guns

It’s been 5 years and we don’t know yet if the Harding Street raid whether the dead husband even fired a gun or if all the officers were hit by friendly fire.
The two murder charges against Goines in the Harding street case were dismissed a couple days back.

Re: Entry wounds

This reminds me of a quote from a pretty good Vampire fantasy fiction series (the first several books, anyway - Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake books), about 9mm hollow point entry and exit wounds. Not very factual, but I had to admire the worsdmithing. "In like a penny, out like a pizza".

[quoteOne thing I noticed, even with RAH, is that many stories included elements of sexual changes/freedoms in daily life. This includes homosexual incidents in the stories. While there were some comments on gender roles in several books, the only RAH book I recall delving into gender identity/trans...

For real SciFi read Larry Correia, Tim Zahn, David Weber, John Ringo and others like them. Excellent authors, all. MIght I also recommend David Drake (the Hammer's Slammer's series in particular), Taylor Anderson (the Destroyermen series) and Charles Stross (the Laundry series). All quality science...

Re: TX:The mean streets of Houston

? I am not sure how the law works on a situation where you go outside shooting at people for messing with your car. I dinno how it would go these days, but there was a case in Houston years back, where a repo man was taking somoene's car at night. The homeowner stepped out and shot him dead with a ...

Re: TX:The mean streets of Houston

"Active Self Protection" is a Youtube channel that breaks down shooting news story videos and offers commentary about what went right or wrong in the event. I enjoy it, and they make a lot of good points - as far as I know, I'm no expert. Stories from Houston have been featured a lot lately.

Re: Does Using an NFA Item in a Personal Defense Situation Put You in More Legal Jeopardy?

[I've always liked the (Probably made up) anecdote about the prosecutor saying why did you shot him x times? And the response of, well when I pulled the trigger the x+1th time it just went click. /quote] Reminds me of a case quite a while back in Houstomn, where a cop shot a goblin 13 times. The jo...

Re: Report: Over 24.4 million AKs & ARs in Circulation

Still, even with this revised estimate, it's very difficult for me to get my head around the notion that there are only 24.4 million ARs, AKs, and variants
Well, this doesn't count all of the ones that were lost in boating accidents.

I'm waiting for the follow up story where the family of the goblin states that the good guy had no business getting involved in their boy's private business, that their relative was a good boy who had just turned his life around, was just trying to get some money for school clothes' and was an aspir...

The scariest thought for today: AOC will be age-eligible to run for president in 2024.
Dave Crowder's reaction to the idea of AOC running in 2024..."PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do it!" Sandy wouldn't stand a chance against any serious Republican candidate.

Re: Joe Xiden AKA Brandon

Has Biden appointed ONE (what most of us would consider a) “normal” person to an important post? And “competent” seems to be the last factor considered, if at all.

A low cost alternative to the expensive loosening chemicals is a 50/50 mix of automatic trans fluid and acetone. In lots of tests, it performs better at loosening things than the expensive stuff. Shake it up good and apply with a squirt bottle or brush.

The Libertarian Party stands for open borders, last time I looked into them. The philosophy of libertarianism provides a useful check on statism, but the Party needs a lot of work. Sorry for my tangent. The Mises Caucus is gaining support in the Libertarian Party. They are much more reasonable and ...
