Re: Interesting events at Boerne Walmart
If it's a law, I don't like it. Why would anyone need that many phones? Don't know, not my business. Maybe he has a small business and is buying for his employees. Maybe he is about to hike the Appalachian trail and needs reliable phones for him and maybe a couple of his buddies. Maybe he hates Walm...

As far as I'm concerned they can just get a budget passed as required by the constitution and then not pass any bills (unless the bills are to dismantle, get rid of, or clarify current regulation)

Re: Shooting Situation at Rolling Oaks Mall San Antonio
Here's the headline, sub headline, and caption from a British news site. It's always interesting to see all the different biases in the headlines. SHOPPING CENTRE HORROR: One killed and six injured after gunman opens fire at Texas mall "ONE PERSON has been killed and six injured after a gunman ...

Re: Gun 'mistakes' in Books, TV, and Movies - feel free to post your own
Saw a new movie last night on Netflix called "Mercury Plains". The summary said it took place in Texas and Mexico so I thought I'd be a good one to watch as I fell asleep. It was kind of low-budget and I'm sure there were a plethora of actual "gun mistakes" that I didn't catch be...

Re: Texas Drone Law Contradictions?
IANAL, but I read this as saying that you're OK as long as your drone is no more than 8 feet off the ground, and you are taking the picture of a publicly owned location. I don't know how the restrictions in 15 would play out "without using any electronic, mechanical, or other means to amplify ...

Texas Drone Law Contradictions?
I've been researching Texas drone laws since Christmas when I received a Phantom 3 from my wife. In regards to taking photos and video, I am a little confused by two sections of the law. Below is the relevant sections in question: CHAPTER 423. USE OF UNMANNED AIRCRAFT Sec. 423.002. NONAPPLICABILITY....

Gold/Silver Bullion purchase for an ignorant rookie
I remember seeing some discussion a while back concerning either gold or silver buying, however I paid little attention because at the time I had little or no interest. But now I'm thinking of buying a little gold for my dad for a Christmas present. Problem is I know nothing about the market as far ...

Re: Probably the Weirdest Forum Question Ever
Not weird, but getting a little repetitive. Use the site's search function......there's like a gazillion threads where this has already been asked. [/url] My mistake. I did do quick search for "bathroom" and, yes I'm embarrassed to admit it, for "pooping", however I was lazy and...

Probably the Weirdest Forum Question Ever
My apologies in advance for tainting this website with my immature curiosity. I spend many days out on the town either for work or personal reasons running errands. And sometimes, unfortunately, I am hit with a sudden urge that requires me to head to the nearest little boys room and take a seat on t...

Need help with holsters - Glock 27
My very first post on this website (and the main reason I originally signed up) was for advice on a good holster for my Ruger 380 while biking. The feedback was awesome and I used it to purchase a paddle holster that I was very pleased with and actually began using it not only for biking but almost ...

Re: October Camping Recomendations
I frequently camp in Texas state parks and you won't be disappointed with any of them. We especially like Caprock Canyon State Park in the panhandle and Brazos Bend State Park near Houston. We have also camped at Abilene State Park and Brownwood State Park which are nearer to you if you want to spe...

Re: October Camping Recomendations
Good info all. Much appreciated. Especially appreciate the warnings about Mother Neff because I was giving that some serious consideration. Right now I'm leaning toward Colorado Bend but am still taking in yall's advice.
Thanks so much.

October Camping Recomendations
The wife and I are taking a Friday off and planning to do a weekend camp trip in mid or late October. Problem is we haven't decided where. I was hoping I could rely on ya'll for some good recommendations. Preferably within 5 or 5.5 hours of the Abilene area. I was really wanting to go down to Lost M...

Re: One song that "speaks" to you
And also this is one of my favorites. I think Robert Earl Keen did a masterful job at putting the listener in that mental place we've all been at on rare occasions, where everything just feels right and perfect, and it's almost contagious with those around us. Robert Earl Keen - "feelin good ag...

Re: One song that "speaks" to you
This song is long and slow, but good. It reminds me of my grandpa who would have been the same age. Also it makes me sad to think of the dying breed of old-timers and the greatest generation which is quickly disappearing.
