Re: Recommendations for AIWB Holster for S&W .380 EZ
StealthGear USA makes great, comfortable holsters. https://stealthgearusa.com/Product/holsters/appendix-(aiwb)-ventcore-holster/1696663 They are my go-to company for all holster requirements. Looks like the AIWB holster is $55 if you don't get any accessories, and you can get it configured with stee...

Re: What can I do to the raptor grip?
Saw that Hickock45 put some hockey stick tape on the end of his Shockwave. I think that's a pretty good middle ground between uncovered and Talon grips. If I didn't already have some in my hockey bag, I'd probably just order the Talon grips and be done with it, but I'll check out the hockey tape fir...

Re: How many levels of membership?
I was curious about all of this as well. I signed up on 1/31/18 for a yearly membership before all the craziness with Parkland, and immediately wanted to spring for the Life Membership. I sprung for the payment plan and will be trying to pay it every month. Glad to support them for a year or two and...

Re: Glock 43 Carry - What is your fav holster/method?
So about your pants...... ;-) I ended up buying a size bigger than what I wear normally. The 38 jean size I wear normally are snug and I don't need to wear a belt when I wear them. You throw in a double stack "compact" firearm thickness (even the G43 is usually around an inch width, and th...

Re: NRA Life Membership reduced price thru March
The person at the NRA that makes those cards probably hates me right now. I signed up for a year long membership right after the beginning of the year and locked in my $40 dollar a year payment. When I got the mail with my membership card in it for expiration of 2018, I saw that they had an option t...

Re: Suppresor Talk/ opcions
I've been looking at silencers here recently online (I'm dreaming of the day I get one) and I've really been drawn to the Dead Air silencer line. I was interested in the SilencerCo and YHM lines, but when I saw all of the various adapters to get into SilencerCo.: the multi-caliber inserts and spring...

Re: Safariland QLS
Thanks for the heads up on that 565BL belt loop mount. I just added that to my wishlist and will be picking one up soon. That's been one of my biggest complaints of how the QLS attaches to the standard belt loop adapter that they pretty much send with all of their holsters. It's made specifically to...

Re: 300BLACKOUT pistol build suggestions
I don't see much concern about headspace or gauging. Is this something I need to be concerned about? I was in the exact same position you are in a year ago. No vice, no specialized tools, and a pretty bare bones tool box. I watched a few lower and upper build videos on the ol' YouTube (mostly Sootc...

Re: Got started in .300 Blackout...
I'm just now reading up on and getting into 300 BLK out too. I just finished building my first .223 Wylde dream rifle a few weeks ago and finally got to take it to the range and shoot 300 rounds through it. For Black Friday, OdinWorks (the maker of my Wylde barrel), had a quantity of 10 - 16" c...

Re: Trauma Kits
I really like the LA Police Gear Trauma Kits. I bought two (one for the range bag and one for the trunk). I also added a North American Rescue Combat Application Tourniquet to it. For $25 bucks for the kit and $28 for the tourniquet I thought it was a good deal and looks like it could handle a self ...

Re: Best way to get ammo count?
I just recently got my ammo storage situated at home, and before I bought any bulk ammo, felt I needed to have a good system in place to keep up with it. This is just what I do and I've actually got comments from some range officers about how "tidy" my system is. Sometimes I feel like Phil...

Re: What do you drink coffee from?
I use either the Thermos Stainless King Tumbler (16 oz) or the Ozark Trail tumblers from Wal-Mart when I'm on the go, and whatever Star Wars mug I can find around the house if I'm staying in. The Thermos brand is much better about travelling and keeping coffee hot longer, as it has a water-tight val...

Re: Appendix IWB carry--or not?
I'm in the same boat. I have a 642 S&W snubbie revolver that I got a pocket holster for, but as time went on and I saw more info about AIWB I got to thinking, could I appendix carry that thing? I bought a StealthGear USA AIWB holster for it and need to get used to putting it on, reholstering and...

Re: Carrying an empty holster
I had an interesting experience going to a movie right after I started carrying. The movie theater I go to is posted 30.06/30.07, and at the time I was using a black Galco Summer Comfort IWB leather holster at around the 4:30 position. That holster sits a little high for my taste (I've since retired...
