Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

The only way to pursue "constitutional carry" is with the bill I've already written for 2019. It 1) moves all of TPC §46.035 to §46.03 so as to apply it to unlicensed carry; 2) renders LTC exempt from not only TPC §46.02, but §46.03 as well; and 3) makes anyone who can lawfully possess fi...

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

If incremental steps is what is necessary this seems backwards as HB 560 should be the priority not Constitutional Carry. It is apparent that the gun groups who I will not name are in control. I guess the squeaky wheel does get the oil!

Re: Recourse against employer who disregards SB 321?

Not sure about the OP, but some of us are subject to random searches... Makes for some potential high stakes gambling on a daily basis. :mad5 If they terminate your employment for that very reason, just think of the backpay and maybe punitive damages you may get. :tiphat: Good luck proving that in ...

Re: Walked out of Academy Last Night

I asked this chat person to file an "official complaint" and noted that the other stores do not require it and I would no longer buy ammo at Academy until this is changed I suggest everyone on here do the same I suspect that this is one boycott that isn't going anywhere. I agree. There ar...

Re: Walked out of Academy Last Night

Why would I contact academy about a birthdate? It's not like they asked your name or anything. IMHO this is blown out of proportion. A birthdate with no other information is nothing.

Re: NRA Doesn't Allow 1911's at New Classes

So....maybe because of the hand injury, he is unable to demonstrate for students the proper disengagement of the thumb safety on a 1911 when drawing from the holster? Or maybe they just wanted handguns that would not be jamming / failing to feed all the time? :biggrinjester: I saw this proposed cla...

Re: NRA Doesn't Allow 1911's at New Classes

The NRA has reversed its decision regarding 1911's and revolvers. Below is a copy of the official position on Carry Guard classes. Chas. In response to clear feedback surrounding the NRA Carry Guard Level I course announcement, we have modified the required firearm platforms as well as our site lan...

Re: Rep. Brian Babin (R-TX 36) thinks he's better than you

I can't remember the last time I was as angry as I was when I first read about this last night. I simply do not believe that any "Congress Critter's" life is more important than anyone else. Exactly!!!!! This is the proverbial dangling Carrot they like to present to the peasants with the ...

Re: Dangerous Traffic Stop - Minnesota Police Officer

The biggest issue here appears to be a miscommunication between the officer and the driver. Here is my take: The officer gave two commands - to produce the license and not to reach for the gun. He didn't know where either of those items was located in the vehicle. The driver understood and believed...

Re: New 1911!

I have put a 100 rounds of 230 gr FMJ and 50 Rounds of Federal HST 230 gr. with no issues at all. This gun has an aluminum frame and the recoil is definetly different than a steel frame. This is a 3" gun and is very accurate to say the least. I love everything about this gun so far. I can only ...

Re: Pass through shots/ liability

It has been a long time since I took the LTC course but I thought on pass through you could be held liable both criminally and civilly and the act of stopping a crime could not be used as a defense to prosecution.
