Re: Would you buy this 1911?

I've owned only one 1911.

A Colt Commander, treated with loving care and never ever, not once was reliable.

I sold it for pennies.

I also informed the buyer it was a fine paper weight...

Their beautiful, hunks of mostly junk unless made by Ed Brown or some similar super duper high quality mfg.

Re: Would you buy this 1911?

Elders...? I'm older'n Methusala. Deaf, can barely utter a word, (most of the time I'm completely mute) walk with limp, but I can still shoot adequately...still above ground for however long that lasts...and frankly if it were to end before I type the next word, I've lived a wonderfully adventurous ...

Re: Would you buy this 1911?

Do any of you have a sense of humor when it comes to antique firearms? 1911's aren't all that serious an issue. Laugh a little, life's too short to get all worked up over a bit of razzing. How often are other gun models made sport of...? Many, especially Glock. But, let's face it, unless the 1911 is...

Re: Would you buy this 1911?

...and sailing ships were found reliable until steamships and later internal combustion power came along. I love antique guns as much as the next man, but 1911's reliable?....puh-leeeze! Buy one and you'll learn lots about gunsmithing...1911's. You'll have to if you want yer ole boom booms to keep s...

Re: Austin based Yeti quits doing business with NRA

bigtek, What we've got here is failure to communicate... I asked because your question to me: How many of their coolers have you bought before today? I asked because your question came across as ...odd, so I asked out curiosity and wondered what's the point of your question? I've bought 3 of various...

Re: IL: Dems push bill rewarding schools that replace armed officers with therapists

Both bad ideas. Useless SRO's who won't do their job. Useless therapists. Do away with public schools and home school your children. Don't/can't home school, don't expect your children to thrive, but hey, we still need ditch diggers, garbage haulers, rough labor. Or send them to trade school where t...

Re: Trespassing? It depends who you are.

Deadbeats have no "RIGHT" to hang out. How would you like to come home to discover your yard is now popular with Deadbeats? How long would it take you to either shoo them away or call the cops if they didn't comply? My guess: Almost immediately. Does ethnicity enter into this scenario? Nop...

Or someone on heavy medication with zero appreciation of what day or time it is...

Re: IL: Dems push bill rewarding schools that replace armed officers with therapists

C'mon, let's not be harsh. Leftists believe in magic. They're not just idealists. They're lost... Try living in the jungle with an idealists idea of survival. You' ll die quickly. A realistic view of life is harsh, but it can be accomplished though it's very, very difficult. Ask any of the 10 percen...
