Re: Jamaica: Travel warning due to gun violence on gun free island

I used to regularly world travel for fun and sometimes for business. Often, with a girlfriend, but sometime all by lonesome. Heck, I even lived in few foreign countries for short periods. I would do so now, with my wife, but the world has to heck. I'm not leaving Texas. When we speak of gun reciproc...

Jusme, So, what's the actual agenda? It sure isn't helping the poor, disadvantaged, ...? Here's what it is: Criminals pretending to be political help mates for the disadvantaged, but terds like Burn, 'the disgusting would be criminal' if ONLY we'd elect him... Snowflakes want his kind of criminality...

Re: Church Security Sub-forum?

Sounds like a great idea. While, I'm not a church goer or synagogue goer either for that matter (I'm not Jewish despite my on line name), I want my kindred spirits, if you will, being protected with efficiency. A sub-forum like this would be a great place to exchange ideas for greater security ideas.

Re: What's Your Preferred Grain in 9mm for range and s.d.?

lowdogtx, Have you shot the 115 gr and/or 124 gr to detect a noticeable difference in felt recoil vs. shooting the 147's? Assuming you're shooting them out of the same gun of course... Supposedly, ( I haven't had a chance to find out for myself yet) when shooting a sub-compact 9mm there is a differe...

Re: Retirement grows closer

allisji, First a golden parachute. My company got bought out and I could've stayed on. I was offered a job in management I didn't care for or I could take the golden parachute. I took the chute. Secondly, a wife who absolutely loved her job (she's just recently retired) and made a fabulous income to...

Re: Retirement grows closer

Don't wait to retire.

There are no guarantees you'll get to enjoy what years and health you have.

How would I know?

I retired at 45 and I'm in my 70's now and every moment of every day has been great.

Now, my health is fading fast, but it's been a great ride!

Re: Ever Used Glow-On Paint To Brighten Iron Sights?

Pawpaw,

Supposedly, this stuff brightens up the sight, so if one does have to aim, target acquisition is quicker.

Does it work well?

I don't know, but my eyes can barely see the sights as they exist on my little Ruger.

Ever Used Glow-On Paint To Brighten Iron Sights?

My little Ruger LC9S isn't a bullseye shooter I realize, but the 3 dot white sights it came with are pitiful. So, I'm considering preppy them with a little drilling out of what's in there, then q-tip them with alcohol afterwards, let dry and start in with painting on the glow-on. Anyone here ever do...

Re: Spooked in a WM parking lot

SewTexas,

I do my dead level best to never spook a woman in a parking lot or anywhere else for that matter, but especially in a parking lot.

No doubt the man was simply oblivious, but your experience while not fun, work well at re-cranking up ones situational awareness.

Re: Christie Signs Bump Stock Ban in NJ

I still wonder why this terd is still being voted in?

He's presumably a repub, (not) but I still wonder why he was kicked off the Trump team?

Anyone, anyone know or can speculate even?

Why is he still in power?

What's Your Preferred Grain in 9mm for range and s.d.?

I'll start at 115/124/147 for either range or S.D. . Heck, there's even some out there made by Federal in 150 JHP, but they're pretty exotic and painfully expensive.
