Re: background check question

IANAL but I think you should be fine if their check shows the warrant is not active. Since you already applied there's nothing to do but wait and see if they ask for more information or send your plastic.

Try to limit yourself to checking your status online no more than once a day.

I'm sure it's purely coincidental just like all the other statistically improbable coincidences popping up.

Re: MD: Shooter kills three at business wounds two

Tracy said Prince has a lengthy criminal history, including 42 arrests, mostly for probation violations, and 15 felony convictions. Tracy did not offer details.

Fifteen felony convictions and they let him wander around in public. What could possibly go wrong?

Re: LTC renewal, come on DPS.......!

I wonder if they mailed it to the address on her license instead of your PO box.

To echo others, I don't want DPS to give my LTC information to just anybody who has my DOB and SSN.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm now leaning toward going but haven't officially decided yet. I'll answer a few of the questions if that helps. No hazardous duty pay. The company does gross up pay for state taxes on travel days to make it tax neutral or better. They also pay full M&EI per d...

... stopping 3 ft. past a stop sign is a traffic violation. I'm pretty sure you'd get dinged for that anywhere, not just CA. Perhaps but I had to pay a $120 fine for that in CA. The stop sign was just 3 ft before I could get a clear view to the main road. I explained the cop that there are bushes o...

Re: Is the right to bear arms outdated?

That's an inspiring narrative Annoyed Man and I think an overly optimistic one. I think the Weapons Man blog makes compelling arguments in sections 1.2 and 1.3 that are backed up by middle class America's reaction to state and federal restrictions on gun rights in the past 20-30 years. The governmen...

Mission Behind Enemy Lines

I have a work opportunity in California. My gut reaction is to say no thanks, but it will be very good for my career assuming I stay with this company long term. How bad is the gun situation really? The rotation would be three to six months. I obviously won't be able to get a permission slip to carr...

Re: Obamacare - the gift that keeps on giving

And today its out that Trump is going after the ACA subsidies. Congress may not do their job willingly, but Trump is going to hack the ACA to pieces and force the Perfumed Princes to do their actual jobs (I'm being deragatory towards Congress, en toto). Jeff B. Trump just threw a grenade into the A...

Re: Am I eligible for CHL

Yes in Texas, so my best bet for now is to apply for a FL non resident? Getting it expunged should make you eligible for a Texas CHL and might help in job searches. You can try Florida but be aware of some possible reasons for Ineligibility. * A conviction for violation of controlled substance laws...

Why shouldn't they take it all when even self proclaimed "oath keepers" and "III%-ers" aren't getting rid of self proclaimed domestic enemies of constitutional rights? :evil2: You need to get out more often. I get out some but maybe not enough or maybe the wrong places. Where sh...
