Re: Public Intoxication in Georgia

It will depend on the disposition. If it was a Class B, then I would assume it would have to be a state penalty. How long ago was it? It was about two years ago. I remember them telling me it was basically like a ticket, and then I just paid on their county website and that was it. I always assumed...

Re: Austin based Yeti quits doing business with NRA

How is the NRA supposed to prove a negative? They said it was without prior notice and YETI refused to say why. The burden of proof is squarely in the hands of YETI. If they are telling the truth they need to do the following: * Show proof that they offered "an alternative customization progra...

Re: Public Intoxication in Georgia

Public drunkenness is a misdemeanor in Georgia. Penalties include a fine of up to $1,000, up to one year in jail , or both. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. I'm doing some research and I'm pretty sure I was only charged under a city ordinance violation, not a state misdemeanor. I'm in the proc...

Re: Public Intoxication in Georgia

Misdemeanor charges from another state are handled as Class A in Texas for eligibility, so yes, you would be ineligible for 5 years from your date of disposition on the conviction. Thanks for responding Is there any reason for this? It seems a bit weird to just classify all out of state misdemeanor...

Re: Austin based Yeti quits doing business with NRA

You're right, it's damage control because they are in serious trouble. They are lying pure and simple. Chas. Mr. Cotton, can you elaborate on Yeti "lying"? Do you have the statement from YETI to Friends of NRA stating that the program was being discontinued? Does it mention a new program?...

Re: Public Intoxication in Georgia

Hi, I have a public intoxication arrest from the state of Georgia. In Georgia, there is no such thing as a Class C misdemeanor, so it's a class B misdemeanor according to Georgia. In Texas, the same charge is a class C, so would this make me ineligible for a LTC in Texas? Welcome to the forum. Misd...

Kyle Kashuv, the pro 2A survivor of the Parkland shooting was ordered to the principal's office today and questioned by the SRO and another SRO and then by Broward County Sheriff's officer because he went to a gun range and fired an AR15 with his dad. He posted it on his social media that he went t...

Re: TN: Waffle House shooting leaves 4 dead, several injured

Think about this, they will publicly state they have a 'no firearms' policy, but don't post to prevent patrons from carrying. This gives them an out from a legal standpoint if anyone ever wants to sue them for allowing people to carry firearms, or in the case of the concealed carrier getting sued by...

Re: School teacher with LTC

The "New" Version of the LTC-16 (now 88( came out in February of 2018. I was going through it. Am I correct when I say there is no mention or reference to HB 1566 Sec. 37.0815 in it anywhere? Maybe I'm just too blind to see, please tell me where. Page 80 covers the parking lot law and exc...

Not really. More like the B-52, rock solid and dependable to get the job done when you need to deliver a heavy payload. :thumbs2:

Re: Austin based Yeti quits doing business with NRA

Everyone thinks these YETI coolers are some great new innovation, when in reality they are not. When you look at any of the high-efficiency coolers (YETI, Orca, RTIC, etc) they are nothing more than extremely thick-walled coolers. I liken it to putting 2x6 vs 2x4 walls in your house. You add the ext...

Re: IL: New "sanctuary county" for gun owners.

You have to remember there are really two parts of Illinois; Cook County and then all the rest of the state. The politicians of Cook County bring their ilk to Springfield and try to make state laws like they do in Chicago. Glad to see the outstate starting to stand up against the anti-gun agenda fro...

Re: Benbrook PD Called for Gun Tshirt in Park

Johnston wearing that shirt is analogous to the young woman with the perky little bottom wearing the short skirt discussed in a thread gone by. Should I call the police if I see a woman wearing a short skirt in public? :headscratch Depends on if she is in style or not. If not, call the Fashion Poli...
