Re: Spooked in a WM parking lot

I admit, my situational awareness skills have taken a hit, I'm not getting out of the house near enough. The silent stepper was probably guilty of the same thing. We all fall into condition white at some time or other. Wally world parking lots probably not the best place to let it happen. I think m...

Re: Ever Used Glow-On Paint To Brighten Iron Sights?

I have used Bright Sights paint http://brightsights.com/ which helps in low light, but as mentioned, if you are talking about glow-in-the-dark paint, it would need to be exposed to light before it would illuminate.

Re: Spooked in a WM parking lot

Had I been carrying, he would have been the one scared! Glad you weren't carrying. Just getting close to you in a parking lot, especially since he was going to the car beside you and it was daylight, would not have justified drawing on him. I would possibly have put my hand in a purse or on the han...

Re: How to check if a premise is 51%?

A TABC blue notice or a 51% sign would hardly seem to qualify as notice. I don’t see anything in them prohibiting your entry. The are simply making note of the law regarding handguns. Weapon has a specific definition in PC chapter 46 and it doesn’t include long guns. TPC 1.07 defines deadly weapon ...

Luckily she has a hammer-fired pistol with re-strike capability since the round first failed to fire. She probably would not have been able to rack the slide to reset a striker-fired pistol.

Re: Pulled over for speeding - you won't believe what happened next!

I retired from Texas Department of Public Safety; Law Enforcement Support Division; Communications; Police Communications Operator Level 3 (dispatcher for the rest of ya.) The posting at a Driver's License office, I guarantee you, was/is HIGHLY coveted. It is MOST certainly NOT punishment. Punishme...

Every experience I’ve had with Texas State Troopers have been positive. I’m glad yours was as well Me too except maybe for troopers at the drivers license office. Many times assignments like the License Office are punishment jobs. I know this from an negative encounter with a Sargent and the subseq...

Also charged was 24-year-old Kori Willhite of Garden City for disguising her identification to a police officer and possession of improper prescription drugs.

Sounds like all of them need a time-out

Re: Smooth fingerprints rejected

I believe this is incorrect on rejecting. I think I remember DPS saying there are some people that just don't fingerprint well and after 2 tries they will just pass them as best available.

Note to add: As I was typing this Info man confirmed it.
