Re: CHL holder attempts to stop fatal hit & run.

One final note to those who bring up the tired rebuttal about stray rounds: so if I had a clear line of fire , you'd better believe I would empty every round I had to get him to stop. Fifth weapon safety rule is "know your target and what lies beyond it." I'm not going to shoot at somethi...

Re: Mip

So it won't show up on there background checks or any thing? They are looking for what counties and cities you were living/working in during those times. Then that will run the background checks in those cities and counties. Best bet is if you had a gap in the dates, send DPS an email and let them ...

Also I left out a job that I only worked a very short time at. How strict are they on job history? I should have set down and thought of everything first but completely forgot about that tell a week later. In my gap I just put unemployed in the job section and that was ok. Unemployed, self-employed...

Mrvmax, I thought you were responding to the recent posts made on this thread. I have similar feeling and agree with your conclusion. If you weren't, I was not aware of the time limit for responses to threads, I could not find anything in the Forum rules about it. :tiphat: Sorry if I was a little t...

Re: Defensive Snub Revolver

Stephen is no longer with us but if you can find his self published defensive guide to the j frame it'd be well worth the effort. Maybe google fu in e-bay for Stephen A. Camp's shooters guides might be successful. Stephen wrote 'Guides" for the 1911, Browning High Power, J frames, and one nove...

I tried a link i have seen on other pages but there is nothing there, it just gives me the option to apply for a trainer certificate. This is the link https:/...

Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?

Just curious, what would qualify a sign as improperly posted? Other than the whole size thing and being hidden or not conspicuously placed. What qualifies a sign for posting in this thread? I'm brand new to CC and have been searching the front of buildings before entering so far lol. It should have...

Re: Probably a stupid question

I know recently here in tx, they passed campus carry. I wondered if that extended to all schools or just college campuses. Only public colleges and universities and private universities that chose to allow carry. But there are areas that can be off-limits. Here is a good article that explains a lot...

Re: Heads-up for anyone going to the NRA convention.

I heard it is also posted '06 & '07. It just checked..... it doesn’t appear to be listed at Texas3006.com. If it is posted, can somebody confirm that and post it there? Those might be signs on the left and right of the doors, but if they are, they are not big enough to be valid. https://c1.stat...

Re: Documentation Question

Welcome to the forum.

As long as the charge was not a permanent disqualifier, then the time since the arrest alone should be the green light. I would think the letter along with the charge being listed should help with the charge not delaying the processing of the application.
