Re: My Water Line Burst

If they don’t have Cooper slip coupling you can make one with a file. Just file the inside of the copper stop/shoulder and slip it right on.

We normally burry them at 18” that’s the freeze line.

Re: My Water Line Burst

If you solder it, remember a few things. 1.) Get a bigger torch than you think you'll need. A TS8000 with MAPP gas Heats the pipe faster and makes it easier to heat everything evenly. 2) the pipe cannot be too clean. You need to use emery cloth and/or a wire brush until the pipe surface is as shiny...

Re: My Water Line Burst

Previous repair to a gas line (entire line from meter to pipe entering house) was connected with shark bite fittings, four years later one pulled apart, water flooded the line, and gas entered the house before we woke up and called Atmos. Had to redo both ends of line and of course pass pressure in...

Sweating copper piping: https://www.familyhandyman.com/plumbing/how-to-solder-copper-pipe/view-all/ I learned how to do this when helping a friend build a hunting camp; not hard. not hard on clean Cooper, out in the open. Can be quite picky when it’s been burried for years and in a hole. But not im...

Re: Questions About LEO's Asking For ID's When I'm Simply Passenger

In a traffic stop I didn’t think you had to show I’d or answer any questions being a passenger? They didn’t pull over the passenger they pull over the driver.

But it might not be a big deal on this forum. It don’t bother me since I️ don’t hunt any lakes around dfw. For Lewisville you need a p...

Not sure if it would be a good clay gun but hard to beat my benelli nova. You can look at the super nova also for less recoil.
