That's a good list!

I was going to join the "get to the range more" gang, but like your first two as additional goals.

Re: Are Ammo Prices Ready To Drop?

I don't think we're going to get back to the days (or supply) of cheap imported milspec ammo or $4.99 bricks of CCI, but prices have been coming down. Jeff B. nope, we are accustomed to paying $14 & $20/box for 9mm & 45acp, they wont ever drop it back to the pre-scare prices Like gasoline.....

Re: Are Ammo Prices Ready To Drop?

IMO, the prices have been easing since Trump was elected. I don't think we're going to get back to the days (or supply) of cheap imported milspec ammo or $4.99 bricks of CCI, but prices have been coming down.

That's how I carried my 1911 in the mid 70s.

Still had 1911's in the mid 80's at Ft. Pol,. 5th ID(M). Didn't get a Beretta until I went to the 10th MTN DIV.

And, I still have my ALCE gear with black flap holster.

Re: History

Packing.org for me also although I was never a member. I remember at the time thinking it was weird that regular people would carry guns all the time. Boy have I evolved on the topic. The first gun forum I was a member of was surplusrifle.com. I always have had a thing for the classics. I evolved a...

Re: Retired military commanders urge Congress to address 'gun violence crisis'

You guys are right... Don’t get the wrong idea from my words, there ARE Officers and Flag Officers that ARE Worth a hoot, maybe not as many as before, but I believe like the backbone of the military, the professional NCO, they are still there. I’ve know, served with and under some great men. If your...

Here's my note for the comments section... "To use the words of Colonel David Hackworth, the Perfumed Princes speak. Statists, one and all. No surprise to see Snakeater Stan out there calling for a disarmed public. The Officers I was privileged to serve under believed in the American Citizen an...

Re: Flower Mound Police stop murder plan

No kidding. But you'll get the "why do you carry here" question... Because Flower mound is soooo safe. Jeff B. FM is sooo safe? I live in the N. Dallas area for over 20 years and think its no better than Dallas. It overgrew in the past 10 years or so I guess. The same applies to Lewisvill...

Re: Things and Sayings That Annoy!

"Thank You for your service" I'm a Viet Nam vet and no one gave s**t about my service, so it annoys the c**p out of me now. I care. I usually tell them, "No need for thanks, I enjoyed the work." Creeps them out. Another :txflag: well done! Good thread to read and get a few laugh...

Re: Things and Sayings That Annoy!

TDS, I'll provide a hint: It's something nautical. Jeff B., Methinks you're joshing as such sayings as: "Comfortable in their own skin" is another in the very long list of annoying sayings. A "point in time" is annoying. The word "point" is sufficient. Adding "in ...

Re: Things and Sayings That Annoy!

Like Jeff B., I spent my formative years in the Army. However, I promised myself that I would grow a beard when I got out. Did not know then that I would take so long. I prefer to keep my beard short as I tend to find the stubble look annoying. Not as annoying as "could care less" instead...

Re: Things and Sayings That Annoy!

Yeah... spending a lot of my early years in the Army, I still shave every morning and except for an occasional goatee remain that way. I travel for work consistently. Its not infrequent to see the current "younger professional" look of shaved head, square black glasses and usually, a black...

Re: Not mad at the NFL yet? The 49ers say "Hold my beer..."

We have also kept the tv off on Sundays... the week all this started I told my wife, I'm done. She was totally on board and we've not watched any football since. And we've not missed it. Same here, although I dumped the NFL years ago after their treatment of Rush Limbaugh and Hank Williams Jr.. Nic...
