Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off

My 2 cents...The LEO should have pulled the guy over instead and crushed his finger. Law enforcement deserves more respect than that. Even while in the military, I felt that respect was earned, not given or demanded. The driver was a jerk who was driving aggressively and acting extremely rudely. Th...

Re: Dallas, you're next...

I don't do a whole lot in Dallas. This would bring me to only enter that city when I needed to go to our corporate HQ downtown.

To me, Dallas would be right up there with NOLA and business requirements aside, never see one penny of my money.

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off

There are many in the military that are treated for PTSD and retained. In other can cases, they are medically discharged or retired, based on the results of evaluations. I think the only good thing I have to say about Hillary Clinton is that she championed the Warrior Transition Brigade concept that...

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off

So, to me the lie was the most disturbing part, saying that he did not pull his gun until he saw the driver going into reverse. He had pulled his gun before that. On the other hand he has a long career and severe injuries on the job. He was by himself without backup. Afraid?? I can see making him t...

Re: Anti-NRA protest leaders have armed security

Oh yes... I think you need to take anybody who would like to infringe or simply suspend or otherwise deprive you of your right very seriously. As well, when these loons make terroristic threats, they should bear the consequences of those actions, even if they are simply having to tolerate questionin...

Re: How Concealed do You have to be at work?

The company I work for has policies that make carrying or having a weapon on premise against the rules. There is no mention of any rule against carrying when you are in your own vehicle traveling to or from companies business (Customer Calls, etc.) which is what I do. I have a nice safe in the truck...

Re: Who Carries A Snub Nose Revolver

The Ruger LCR .38 that my wife didn't take to is my dog walking gun. Drops into my shorts pocket or sweats nicely. Even has a couple of "shot shells" in it for snake charming, since Jethro got bit on the muzzle by a copperhead one evening last summer...

Re: NYT: Trump shunning gun control helps the terrorists

The nonsense that the anti's come up with would be funny if the potential impact of their kids were not so serious. You would think even those jokers would appreciate something that would potentially negatively impact terrorists or even run of the mill criminals.

Re: Are There Gun Forum's That Should Be Avoided?

I'll refrain from naming any, there are a bunch and they cover the spectrum of hospitality and decorum. IMO, one of the reasons that this forum is excellent is because of the tone set by Charles Cotton and the rules that we agree to live by while in hi "house". You'll find many other place...

Re: John Wesley, Rawles books

Same here, have read them all, enjoyed some more than others, but they're all a lot better than anything I've written.

Matt Bracken is also a good writer for the genre... the Enemies Foreign and Domestic Trilogy.

I believe he may be coming out with a sequel to Castigo Cay soon.

Re: Gun control will keep criminals from getting guns??

I think I've seen that one before. Still, useful data. Overall, it confirms what we know, that gun control only prevents those who would legally own guns from obtaining them. Look at Chi-congo. Certainly amongst the strictest gun (anti) laws in the nation and it's like Baghdad, Mogadishu, Beirut or ...

IMO, IMI is good ammo. Both rifle and pistol calibers. I've bought it from SG Ammo and some from Cabela's in store, I think.
