Re: Time period for LTC 100
Darn, I hope that she is grandfathered under the old 2 year rule. Now that it's May, she is past the one year period. I would hate to think I gave her bad information and she now has to take the class over again because she didn't get everything done quickly before the end of April.

Re: Kahr P9
I didn't know the part about using the slide lock on the first round instead of pulling the slide back. Got the gun used with no manual.

Re: LTC Oliver North to become NRA President
While I am not opposed to North as President, isn't this a bit of a different process than the NRA usually uses? Seems strange.

Re: LTC Instructor Timeline 2018
It's been a few years since I received my instructor's certification, so I could be wrong about this, but here is my understanding. DPS only holds a couple of these classes a year, nowhere near once a month. Therefore, you might sign up to be on the notification list, and it could be months before t...

If the trigger is anything like the CM9, it is a delight. Think of a long revolver trigger that has been tuned to be as smooth as possible.

Re: Mike Pence @ NRA Annual Meeting
Nothing is 100% black and white? Then when the armed bad guy breaks into your house, don't shoot, because you might be missing some shades of grey in his intentions. That is modern liberalspeak. It is what has led us to the point of everything being negotiable, and traditional values are of no more ...

Re: Springfield Armory severs relationship with Dicks
Springfield may have just seen the inevitable and decided to strike first.
Dick's has already decided to destroy and not sell any Springfield AR's, and Springfield may well feel that other guns will follow. If so, they aren't losing much by acting first and making a statement in the process.

Re: Mike Pence @ NRA Annual Meeting
Demeaning people because of their decisions is a part of what adults must do. If you say one thing and do something else, I will not simply remain quiet about it, I will speak out. Some call that demeaning, I call it truth.

2nd Amendment Rally?
I saw something on another website about a Houston 2nd Amendment Rally that is supposed to take place sometime in June, but no details about it.
Anyone heard anything?

Re: Mike Pence @ NRA Annual Meeting
I understand all of the above arguments, but they all ignore one overriding factor:
"The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
You either believe that or you don't.

Re: Mike Pence @ NRA Annual Meeting
Yep, typical NRA weakness. Invite POTUS and VPOTUS to speak, knowing full well that Secret Service will require disarming visitors. Then claim, "it wasn't us, it was the Secret Service!" Just stop inviting ANY speaker who doesn't trust us enough to be armed around him. Trump is in charge o...

And by the way, what you refer to as the "technical law perspective", I call the Constitution. Go to a veteran's cemetery and tell the heroes there that they died for a "technical law perspective."

One is only beaten when he gives in to the foe. Does that look like me?
