Re: Early model CZ75

Who wants an old gun like that? I'll give you 100 bucks cash for it, just because I'm a nice guy.

Re: Signed Up For Renewal. Questions

I wonder how FBI policy can require a new set of prints in order to renew a handgun license. Some states don't even require a license to carry, therefore people are carrying with no license and no fingerprints at all.

Signed Up For Renewal. Questions

Went online yesterday, paid fee, filled out forms, uploaded NRA certificate, etc. Received a message that DPS would try to use my previous set of fingerprints and let me know if I need to get new ones made. Question 1. Since prints are now being made and stored electronically, if the prints were goo...

Re: NRA Doesn't Allow 1911's at New Classes

I wonder what would happen if I showed up at one of their classes with an old school Hi Power?

NRA Doesn't Allow 1911's at New Classes

Recently the NRA announced a series of new classes called Carry Guard. Apparently they have decided that 1911's won't be allowed as a "primary weapon" for the classes, but will be as a back up. Makes no sense to me, but then, it's the NRA. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/06/17/brea...

Re: LTC, CHL. CHP...which is it in Texas?

Also, there are historical names (like this website) which were created when CHL was the proper name. Most of those sites, companies, etc. don't want to go back and change their names after all of this time.

LOL! I have been called a redneck more than once myself! But did you ever see the shows like COPS or even the evening news where the police arrive at a scene and the guy they take in always has his shirt off?

Why is it that when redneck bad boys are caught by police they always have their shirts off?

Great! Will we be able to pick a class date, or do they assign them to you?

Re: Year End Instructor Recertification?

Good to know. Any idea when we will be able to sign up?
By the way, these will be huge classes. Let's say 3,000 instructors divided up into 16 classes is about 187 people in each class.

Re: New gun law summary

I know that Charles posted a link to the new gun laws that were passed this year, but I can't find it. Anyone point me to it? Thanks in advance. Keep in mind, the legislative session isn't over until June 19 at 12:01 AM. There are still several bills that will have an impact on Texas LTC holders th...
