Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

I see you guys are still trying to figure it out. To me I'm just glad no innocent bystanders were injured in the may-lay. I'm glad the Police were ready and responded quickly. Everyone is trying to look pretty and claim their innocence now. Some of my friends ride and frequented Twin Peaks. They told me if they were headed there and saw what was in the parking lot they would not have stopped and went some place else. So anyone there knew who they were hanging around. No sympathy from me.

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

It looks like we may have a little break in the weather so I think I'll hook up the boat and head out to a lake for a few days of fishing. I'll leave all this stuff to those that have already figured it all out in their pretty little brains.

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

I tried to post a little info about what was going on here as I was glued to the TV interviews given by the Waco PD spokesman. Some here seem to want to come up with conspiracy theory for what ever reason. There are a lot of regular guys and gals out there that love to ride. This is not about them. This is about a bunch of bad guys gathering with bad intent. I don't care what anyone says about motor cycle gang riders, they are bad. I have had to deal with them when I was in Police work back in the 70's and 80's. The bottom line here is a bunch of them gathered at Twin Peaks, the reason is not important. A big shoot out and brawl insured. Bullets were flying every where. Fortunately there were Police ready at the scene and were able to contain it to the Twin Peaks location. Fortunately no innocent bystanders were injured, a tribute to the Officers at the scene for their quick response to contain it. It is very unsettling for those of us who live here and those that shop at the Central Texas Market Place. We have a very good Police force in our area and a very good DA. They have tried very hard to gather all the evidence properly and will go through all the people arrested and decide who should be charged and who should not. We should let them do their job. No matter what anyone thinks of those that lost their life or were injured in the event they all have someone that loves them. We should pray for them.

Known gang members are not a reliable source.

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

Twin Peaks in Waco is a big biker hang out. We never go there because of that. There have been a few altercations there between bikers and the Waco Police tried to work with the Twin Peaks manager but he refused to work with them and continued to allow the bikers to hang out there. The Central Texas Market Place is a large outlet mall with a lot of stores and restaurants there. The place is packed with shoppers on the weekends and it is very fortunate no innocent people wee injured.

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

There were 8 dead at the scene, 18 transported to two local hospitals were 1 more died. All injuries were limited to the bikers so far. It was two biker gangs. We had been in Frisco this weekend and took an alternate route back due to heavy traffic. When we got back we picked up another couple and went to lunch. The place we went to was across I-35 and a few blocks north. We passed Texas Market Place where the Twin Peaks is at and noticed all the Police presents. We didn't know what was going on until we got to the restaurant and the waitress brought us up to date. A lot of stuff going on around the area right now due to other bikers coming in. My wife and I and the other couple all have our CHLs and were packing. We where never in any danger are anything like that and when we left the restaurant we took a round about way home to avoid the area. It is nice to have a CHL and one should always pack.
