Re: Rights for me but not for thee! HB 560 fading, HB 873 alive?

I guess Texas' strong policy toward private property rights is selective. Any private property owner, including a business owner, can still put a circle-slash badge sticker on their door and completely ban everyone who has a badge, including LEO's. After all, circle-slash stickers have the force of...

Re: SB Tactical Pistol Brace now shoulder-legal

This is an example of asking the question until you get the answer you (don't) want. It's highly unlikely that an item that was determined legal to purchase without NFA approval, would support a prosecution based on how you handled it. But there are people out there that keep writing NFA Tech Branch...

Re: HB1911 Com Substitute

The way I read it, the new verbiage for 06 & 07 prohibits both licensed and unlicensed carry. The text within brackets [] will be struck. Going to reduce the size of the sign. SECTION 24. The heading to Section 30.06, Penal Code, is amended to read as follows: Sec. 30.06. TRESPASS BY PERSON [LI...

Re: Earth Day Demonstrations?

Sure, though I admit I used concepts from Paul Driessen's column here:

However, the words are my own and I do have a Bachelor Degree in Physics.

Re: Earth Day Demonstrations?

Not in my opinion. I'd bet Tyson would love to see money pour in to reinforce the scientific evidence of man made climate change, but would not want to see one penny go to research to prove otherwise. Really? Why would he have any interest making any particular point about climate change? His whole...

Re: Texas Illegal Knife Bill unanimously passes out of committee.

I just bought a nice KaBar I would like to carry once or twice just for grins. It would be nice to have my tactical tomahawk in my truck when I travel to dispatch any zombies I encounter. I'm thinking a Katana like Michonne in The Walking Dead. Also, I've got a bayonet on my SKS rifle that may meet...

I think it depends on where the meeting takes place. If it's not on the campus of the junior college, then it's not covered under 46.03 or 46.035...even before August 2017. :rules:

Re: Earth Day Demonstrations?

How things have changed. I think this day used to be just a celebration of nature, maybe with hike in the woods, a picnic, an outdoor concert, or something fun. Now we have to have demonstrations about everything including something as innocouous as Earth Day . What's going on? According to Neil de...

Get as many of the THAAD and Aegis missiles over there as we can. Still should have gone with SDI in the '80's but the spineless left prevented it.

Re: NRA Disinvites US Concealed Carry Association

Charles probably can not comment on this one for a number of reasons. I would also like to point out that the NRA and USCCA neither one sell 'self-defense insurance' because you can not legally insure an illegal act. The use of deadly force is an illegal act that is legally justified (Charles does ...

Re: Washington County Appraisal District Office

I thought 30.06 signs did not apply to any location owned OR LEASED by a government agency. In this case, wouldn't the government agency be leasing the building from the ISD? Yes, unless it falls under the definition of a "school or educational institution" then a 30.06/7 should not be po...
