Re: Benbrook PD Called for Gun Tshirt in Park

Well just as long as he didn't have a MAGA ball cap. It's like the women that dress provocatively. It's their fault if they get assaulted, just like this guy open carrying in the park. We shouldn't even have open carry it's just another reason why CJ Grisham will get our 2nd amendment permission sli...

Re: Colion Noir Lashes Out At Claims NRA Is Racist

I do enjoy Mr. Noir’s content. Why does the headline at BA employ a phrase like “lashes out” instead of something that has a more reasonable tone, perhaps “responds to”? It’s on a gun-friendly site, not a mainstream newspaper, for goodness sake! Maybe "shoots back" at claims of racism.......

Re: Taurus Model 66 .357 7RD - Opinions?

I have owned a blued 4" barrel Taurus Model 66 .357 (six rd) since 1988 and I love it. Very accurate and easy to shoot even w/ full .357 loads, though I usually use .38 special +P. It's not too heavy for a full size gun, but substantial enough to comfortably shoot .357. :tiphat:

Re: R & R Donnelly Lewisville

... I think this has been discussed before, but I'm too lazy to find one of the threads. I would analogize to a LEO, who carries under both a Texas LTC and the LEOSA. Is that officer always carrying under one or the other, or can they pick and choose? In other words, can they drop their kid off at ...

Re: What are the gaps in your collection?

Barrett 50 cal Gatling gun Full auto M60 Other than that, I'm pretty well stocked at the moment. Oh, I wouldn't mind getting a Dan Wesson revolver pistol pack, now that they have started making them again. But I want a 2 inch barrel to go with the ones that are in the pack. I want a belt fed full a...

Showtime Smarter than the CIA

OK I wasn’t sure where to post this, but besides Zombie Apocalypse shows and Military Documentaries, some of my favorite shows are thriller/dramas on pay tv. I have this terrible suspicion that the writers of the Showtime Channel dramas “Homeland” and “Billions” are plugged into a vast and complex g...

Re: Fire at indoor range

I have actually caused a fire at an indoor range. I was shooting Wolf steel cased 9mm out of a MAC10 with a “fake” barrel extension (real purpose of the extension is to act as a grip forward of the barrel so I don’t shoot the tips of my fingers off  ). Anyway the barrel extension was dirty i ...

Re: CARRY QUESTION

Short answer, leave it in the truck and don't worry about it. Same as the post office and USACE parks. Post Office I tend to agree as I have never seen Postal property posted against leaving gun in the car. Technically could be considered a federal infraction if you did but I’m not seeing the US at...

Re: CARRY QUESTION

A land owner can give oral notice or written notice. Oral notice prohibiting firearms covers both MPA and LTC. Not true. That it covers MPA. Are you saying a land owner can't prohibit guns on their property by giving oral notice? Yes. If the person is a cop they have an exception . If they are a ut...

I didn't think you could prohibit someone from carrying in their car per the MPA... Is that incorrect? No, it IS correct because 30.06 only applies to carryin...

Re: Employers that allow their employees to carry

If you were terminated shortly after it was somehow discovered that you had a gun in your car in the parking lot, then you would likely have a decent case for wrongful termination. If not, why did Texas bother passing the law at all? Regardless of whether Texas (like the other 49 states) is an emplo...

Re: BATFE: Bump-Stock-Type Devices: Notice of proposed rulemaking

At the very least there should be a grandfather clause for bump stock owners. You have to acknowledge that. Because criminalizing the possession of lawfully purchased firearms and accessories is infringement. It is unconstitutional. Period. You're correct it's an unconstitutional infringement, the ...

Re: BATFE: Bump-Stock-Type Devices: Notice of proposed rulemaking

Are bump stocks really the hill we want to die on? They already want to take our AR15s. Do we really want to be in front of the Legislature in 2019 arguing about bump-fire when we could be getting major improvements like $5 off LTC for retired firefighters and more privileges for LEO's. We'll be bus...
