Re: Tool box for an 11 year old.

Good for you and for him! Depends on a lot of things (including size of the box!) but gear some of it towards things he can do with you specifically. (For us it's archery and woodworking - my son has some specific items geared towards those, in addition to the basic set.) First item- safety glasses/...

Re: GAAA... I'm so confused......

My problem with the 45 is like the old lays potato chip commercial.. You can't eat just one... If I go the range I'm going to go through at least 1 box of 50.. I'd like to say that I won't.. but I know me .... I hear you! I used to shoot 1or 2 boxes only... now that I reload (and buy components in ...

Re: GAAA... I'm so confused......

I have been wafting between: 45 ACP... just because I don't have a 45.. But It bothers me to send a quarter down the range every time I pull the trigger... I go to the range on average of 4 - 6 times per month and on average run anywhere from 150 - 200 round per session... That's 600 - to 800 round...

Re: Liability of business owners who ban licensed handguns

I think you have a good argument, but it's flawed. By state law, a private business, entity has the right to post 30.06 / 30.07 signs. As such I can't see where they would incur any liability as a result. Childish example but still - the owners has the right to stick his foot out... and if he trips...

Yup, fedex has gone so far down hill, it's hard to see them at the bottom. Outside of documents, I quit using them, altogether. When I took mine in, the clerk purposely knocked it off the scale- looked at me and smiled- then asked if it was fragile. (that after typing in the receiver info & know...

Re: Getting my CHL back after DWI Suspension

I don't want anyone you has had the lack of judgement to have committed a felony or receive a DUI to process a firearm. How am I assured they won't have another moment when the can't behave responsibly? You are no more guaranteed that, than I am guaranteed you'll never screw up. Or anyone else here...

Tell him if he can't give you the statute, you'll head the committee to elect a new sheriff when his term is up. I'm sure if the community banded together, he'd worry!

Ted’s only a part-time Texan. He’d have to move from Michigan to his property in Jackson County. However, I’ve seen rumors he’s running for President. I thought he was here full time after the mold infestation in his Mi. home that cost him most of his possessions. (even many of his prized guitars!)

Started around here early this year... drives me nuts. Even long time charities we have donated to come up as local. It's becoming rare to get an out of town or state solicitor in these parts.

Re: Really Ticked Off

Both the OP and Devin Kelley were found guilty of assaulting their wife. Neither had a felony record for the DV assault. Should they have been able to buy guns at Academy? Should they have been eligible for a Texas LTC? Simple questions. Trying to dodge the questions by accusing me of being leftist...
