Isn't Lucio the one that has demonstrated his "word" isn't worth anything already?Could it be a tit-for-tat thing? One of the Senators (Lucio) agrees to bring 354 to a vote if Wentworth takes it out of SB5?
Wishful thinking on my part....or maybe my letter back to him helped.

Re: Is SB 354 DOA?
Neither campus-carry nor parking lots is dead or even in trouble at this point. It's way too early to get worried, plus things are going on I can't disclose. Chas. Thanks...the footsoldiers need some encouragement at this point, the media is all some of us hear and they are eager to bury it and pro...

+1 there seem to be a lot of eager beavers just dying to pull the trigger on someone...kinda disconcerting that these folks will instruct others....MasterOfNone wrote:"But what if a guy is waving a pencil in a threatening manner? Can I shoot him then?"

Re: Carrying a gun on a Penal Institution Premises
A substantial number of my legal customers reside in a section of the Polunsky Unit in Livingston, TX. The level of vehicle search varies from trip to trip, but since the cell phone scandal it is much more frequent. I do not carry there, the lock box might never be searched but I cannot afford the p...

Re: HB 2756
"manner calculated to alarm " is plain enough. NOthing else needed. How are they supposed to know what the person is thinking when they open carry? Wouldn't it be simpler to arrest and let a jury determine if the manner was calculated to alarm? The more relevant question is how the prosec...

Re: How many instructors classes this year and what dates?
Nobody has the dates for this years classes? Maybe there not released yet? I know there is an April class. I guess I could call DPS and stay on hold 20 minutes but I figured someone else would know here. I haven't seen it posted anywhere on their site. Thanks in advance. My personal record is 37 mi...

Re: Fox 34 Lubbock Campus Carry Poll
Is instructor "Jon Wise" in this forum? I'd like him to explain his comments in the first of the two related articles. His quote: "Am I comfortable knowing that three or four people in a crowded classroom are armed? I'm not excited about that," says Wise. Mr. Wise, are you comfor...

I haven't decided what to say back to the last response, perhaps nothing more than "I see through the ploy..."

The exception that guts the rule
I live in the turf of Senator Robert Duncan. I don't care for him, I'll be up front about that from the start. In 2009, Duncan, per his very pleasant staffer, (he won't talk to me) advised that he was opposed to both the parking lot bill and campus carry. I wasn't surprised. Duncan is welded at the ...

Re: Cost of reloading.........?
[quote="Luggo1" So, if my math is right, you would load 4200 rounds before breaking even if you owned NO EQUIPMENT now, and bought in right now (assuming $500 for press, dies, case lube, etc)... Granted that we're only looking at 9mm, which is relatively cheap compared to things like .40 ...

Re: I feel bad....
The armed drunken party animal-gunman of their fears is already armed on campus and surely doesn't care if it is legal to concealed carry on campus or not. I try not to get too worked up, common sense doesn't enter into their thinking, but a good dose of reading their hysterics reminds me that there...
