A commander style hammer may or may not solve the hammer bite problem. My hi-power came with one from the factory and I found the only way to solve the biting problem was a 'relief cut' in the back of the hammer. It really depends on the individual. I've heard there are some people who don't get bitten by hi-powers at all :-)
