I like the thought of .44 mag performance from a 1911.

Anyone load 45 ACP to .460 Roland pressures ? I have read a few folks ( one very knowledgable) that it can easily be done. Wondering if anyone here has tried it.
yeah, I wouldn't do it. There's more to it than just brass case strength - you're going from 23k psi to 40k.

In a 'standard' 460 Rowland 1911 conversion (Clark's) you have a compensated barrel and a 22 or 24lb recoil spring with a full length guide rod.
