Re: Breaking news: GLOCK MHS

I don't need or want the thumb safety, but I'd be interested in the groove-less front strap.......but not enough interested to actually buy one. I can have all three of my existing Glock 26, 19, and 17 pistols modified to remove the finger grooves much more cheaply than buying another Glock.

Re: My three stainless beauties

Are all three of those Glocks in .357 Sig? "rlol"

Sorry, the devil made me do it.

Nice pistols. I own a 642, 640, 340M&P, and a 5" 29 Classic. S&W revolvers are pretty nice. But I think my next one is going to be a 3" or 4" Ruger GP100, just because.

Re: Teachers packing heat: More educators taking gun training classes

Two interesting quotes: Here's the rational side of the argument: “The safety of our kids should not be a controversial issue. This is not about guns,” Jim Irvine, with FASTER and the Buckeye Firearms Foundation, said to Fox News at the time. “For nearly 60 years, not one student has died from a fir...

FWIW, I'm studying for my Technician license right now. The only way that I have passed my Tech and General are by using the practice tests on QRZ.com. Keep taking the test over and over until you can consistently get a 80%, and you should do fine on the test. It won't teach you what you need to kn...

Re: A Ham Radio Sub-Forum?

I just bought a hand held HAM radio to put in my travel/get home bag in case of emergencys. I know I can talk on it (unless there is an emergency), but I can listen to it and so now I am intrigued and would like to learn more about this. I understand to get a license there is a test involved? How m...

This post is just a reminder that this policy is still in effect. We just lost a member (banned) because he refused to post his childish insults and rants under his real name. (This is typical of keyboard Rambos who enjoy anonymity, but wouldn't dream of signing their real name to their posts.) Any...

koiseptember: Is there a reason you're posting a link to a casino in a light color text so that it's not seen as well? Yes, there is. He's a spammer. He's done that in all 7 of his posts. The dead giveaway was when he posted in charle's "don't be a jerk" thread as if he were a moderator. ...

Re: Take Austin Back

VERY good summary of the secession issue. Slavery was only one part of a much bigger problem, one that we are beginning to face again. That whole period is purposely misinterpreted to gain political points. I see the atmosphere today as very similar to the 1850s, when a man named Helper wrote a boo...

Re: Civilian who shot suspect fleeing from police arrested

There's IS an instance where it IS legal to fire upon someone who is running away. That is if it an inmate. So if this guy ends up escaping from prison someone will be legally able to shoot him. OK, ya gotta admit that would be pretty darn ironic. Like I've said plenty of times - I'm not planning t...
