Re: Hornady Critical Defense 9mm Ammo

I use the Critical Defense 124 grain in my one and only 9mm (P938) and have not had any issues. I am not as accurate with 115 gr. even in practice rounds but I think its just me. My excuse is eyesight..... I run 115 grain Critical Defense in my G43, and 135 grain +P Critical Duty in my G1...

Re: Fed to seize guns from people who failed background checks

Unless they can prove that the buyer KNEW he was ineligible, the system might have failed, but he committed no crime that I’m aware of. The upshot is that, in my opinion, you can’t just seize something without compensation, when that thing was purchased in good faith. If gov’t is going to seize a g...

Re: AZ: Police release graphic video of officer involved shooting of Texas man

The cop was screaming, conflicting and confusing orders. The young man was scared and seemed to be doing his best to comply. The Officer kept saying he was gonna kill the boy for the slightest infraction. Back in the day our drill sergeants would get in our faces and scream at us. We all figured ou...

Re: Adios Academy

What I do see is a bit of bad luck for BOTH the OP AND Academy, and the OP being in a bit of a snit over it. I just don’t think it’s worth a snit. That's a reasonable precaution and I don't understand some immature people being in a bit of a snit over it. I just don’t think it’s worth a snit. I gue...

Re: Crypto-currencies

What platform(s) do y'all use? I set up an account at Coinbase but after jumping through more hoops than the average circus animal, they still want more. I had to do less to set up a brokerage account... or buy guns from a FFL. Google-fu suggests their fees are particularly high, so maybe i...

Re: Adios Academy

The terms of service seem pretty clear Academy can decline, refuse or cancel a transaction at any time. Those terms of service are accepted by the customer when the order is placed. There could be any number of reasons they decided to cancel the order. Sometimes in life we are inconvenienced and it...

Re: The Glock 43 update!

I have had my eye on a Glock 43 in FDE at my local gun shop for a while and decided to pick it up on Saturday. I got her home cleaned her then put 104 rounds down range at my house. 12 hollow points and 92 fmjs. Ran flawless. Took it in cleaned it. Sunday I took it to the range to really shoot it. ...

Re: Adios Academy

The problem is that if I need something, and Academy (or anyone else) accepts my order via an order confirmation, then I will not buy it someplace else. That could result in a delay in most cases, or in the case of the OP, the loss of an opportunity to take advantage of a really good rebate from Re...
