Re: RV, camper van, site trailer, and work truck carry considerations

Generally speaking, I’m not much of a believer in signs. If you stop to think about it, the only factor in the OP’s scenario that doesn’t apply in my own home is seclusion. OTH, I live in a very quiet suburban neighborhood where people tend to keep to themselves, and there is some distance between t...

Re: I won a Windham AR for $390

I'm confused...did you win the rifle, or just win the ability to buy it at that price? I haven't heard much about them other than (from what I recall) they grew out of the acquisition of Bushmaster by Cerberus. I'd guess it's right on par with an Anderson or PSA rifle. Solid, entry level type AR. I...

Re: Just checking... Current renewal process

It looks like three forms must be completed, LTC-77, LTC-85 and LTC-86. Forms LTC-85 and LTC-86 must be notarized. I believe these three forms along with payment can be submitted online for renewal. I'm about to go through the renewal process and this is my understanding. If there is something I'm ...

Re: Red dot reflex sight

I saw the Holosun at SHOT Show last year. They offer a model with red dot like Aimpoint or reticle like EOTech. Claim battery life similar to Aimpoint’s. Also have a model with a solar panel so works if enough ambient light, even if battery is dead. I’m big Aimpoint fan but have bought two Holosun ...

What are some good hunting rounds in 300? I plan on using SuperSonics. I heard Barnes and Lehigh are some of the best

Hornady has some V-Max loads that are supposed to be pretty good. I haven’t hunted with mine yet, so I don’t really know for sure.

Flashhiders. Some of them work extraordinarily well. Suppressors not only work better, they make it harder to determine exactly your position.

Re: RV, camper van, site trailer, and work truck carry considerations

It sounds like one of the few situations where the shockwave non-shotgun would shine. In my case, my EDC is also nearby at night. If I was in a remote location, I would consider adding something with more reach if I could, like an AR pistol or carbine. Why would you need something with more " ...
