Return to “Oh NO! They're coming to Texas!”

Maybe, but I wouldn't count on that. Some liberals do follow their jobs, and when those jobs leave the state, those liberals go wherever those jobs go. And that's the thing......Companies are leaving California. They're taking those jobs with them, and at least some of their employees are following those jobs.baldeagle wrote:Has it ever occurred to you that the ones who vote that way are happy with California? It's the ones who hate the liberal politics who leave. That makes California more liberal, not Texas.AEA wrote:My point being......they voted for the mess they're in and moving to Texas to get away from it? Or, moving to start the same thing here? Have they really learned their lesson?
Don't forget San Bernardino. It may be the largest county in the United States, but the bulk of its population is concentrated in its cities, which tend to vote whomever La Raza supports.Heartland Patriot wrote:As a born-and-raised Texan who spent half of his military career in NorCal, I agree with JALLEN. I always tell people there are THREE Californias: the Greater Los Angeles area, the Bay Area, and the rest of the state...the VAST bulk of the stupidity and plain old bureaucratic mess comes from the hard-core liberal Democrat areas of LA and the Bay...not that there aren't good folks in those areas, or that there aren't liberals in other parts of the state, but just in general, I think what JALLEN said is reasonably accurate. It sickens me that the liberals have ruined what used to be such a great place. There are lots of beautiful parts of the state and I did enjoy some of the things there (even had a good shooting range, the Yolo Sportsmens Club, near me), but the bad simply outweighed the good, for me. So, as soon as I "retired", I lit out for Texas. I just hope that the folks leaving the state understand WHY they shouldn't bring that mess with them.JALLEN wrote:I'm not an ex-Californian, but a Texan ex-pat living in California. Don't assume facts not in evidence, that those leaving voted for this.
The reality of elections here is that the eastern rural areas, the central valley, and such like areas are outnumbered by the LA/Bay area voters. The rest of the state is semi-normal. Statewide, forget about it, you end up with Feinstein, Boxer, Moonbeam and the others.
I have had the feeling for many years that within two generations, everyone in California will be either working for, or standing in line at, DMV or the Welfare Office, nothing else.
