I saw this posted about 9 hours ago on Facebook by a woman who is a friend of wgoforth's and who is closely involved in what's happening:

He is breathing on his own but the vent tube is still in as a cpap because of his apnea. He is about the same as yesterday but did respond correctly to inflicted pain things they do, i.e. try to get away from it. But arms/chest no response however he does open his eyes when they do that. I mentioned that to them they said that's not a correct response crazy. I'm looking for ANY response but I guess they are looking for non-reflexive type.

Appreciate the prayers said on his behalf.

For those of you who remember wgoforth, he had been struggling with cardiac issues, and hasn't been active here for about 3 years. I believe that he's been put on a transplant list. Anyway, he had a port in place for getting medication, and it apparently the tube slipped out of place in the vein in his chest. He was to have surgery today to reposition it, I believe today. According to his wife, who used his Facebook account to post this update, he had a respiratory arrest followed by CPR compressions to bring him back. He is alive and on a respirator, but unconscious at this time. She doesn't know if he is aware of her presence or not, but he's apparently holding his own.

Please pray for him and for his family. His wife is really scared right now.
