Re: Things and Sayings That Annoy!

Soccerdad wrote The stigma associated with the word "ignorant". It's not an insult to say that someone is uneducated on a topic, but most folks will take great offense at being told that they are ignorant about something. What is the difference between ignorance and stupidity? Ignorance is...

As I'm sure you are aware, Hollywood mogul and all around pervert extraordinaire Harvey Weinstein, has been caught red - err, handed using his power and influence to molest and harass women. When caught with his, um - hand, in the cookie jar, Weinstein said he was going to channel his anger against ...

Re: John Cornyn of Texas is focused on bump-stocks

With all due respect to Hickok45, a compromise is where each group gives up a little something to get something in return. If we agree to a ban on bump stocks, what are the gun grabbers giving up? What do we get in return? A promise from Pelosi to use this as the start of the "Slippery slope&qu...

I read today that 50% of workers pay no tax.

There is just something basically wrong with that.

You mean like then 50% of the people could vote for all sorts of free stuff and know they wouldn't have to pay for it?
What could possibly go wrong with that?

Gas Station Clerk Shoots Armed Robber - gets suspended

http://www.guns.com/2017/09/22/gas-station-clerk-suspended-after-shooting-robber/ In a nutshell: He sticks a gun in her face, she shoots him in the chest, employer suspends her because their policy is: “We are not to chase. We are not to provoke. We are not to do anything. We just stand there and gi...

In three years the Apple watch will be obsolete - if it even still works.
In three years the shockwave will still be good as new.

Re: Help w. recalling gun law enforcement initiative

You are talking about Project Exile. Richmond, VA was the first city to do it, but others copied it.
It was championed by the NRA.

I don't know why it fell into disfavor, likely bleeding hearts.
