Re: Revolver guys will love this video

I hadn't thought the old dump pounces in decades. Speed strips (often incorrectly called speed loaders) evolved from dump pouches, then ultimately to speed loaders.

Re: !st year of CHL in Texas

Classes were offered in 1995, but licenses issued prior to 1/1/1996 were not effective until 1/1/1996. Some people got two year licenses and some got four year licenses. This was intended to stagger renewals to help DPS. It didn't really work.

This is directly from DPS: "They must be eligible as an non-immigrant and submit all required documents(US Visa, I-94, and a valid hunting license)."

Re: Which organization do you think is best.

I'm obviously biased, but I will note that the NRA is the only organization the left is trying to destroy. There is a reason for this.

Re: Oklahoma House passes "Constitutional Carry" bill

She signed HB 2177 which allows the 10 commandments on public property (which most likely will be ruled unconstitutional) and vetoed a Constitutional Carry bill. Go figure. I guess we need to know where our Governor will be ahead of time if it ever comes up in Texas. No reason to pass a law that wi...

TIP: Gun cleaning indoors

Since I started using Pro 7, I've been able to clean my guns inside in my reloading room. Although it's much nicer, especially during the hotter months, I don't like getting solvent on my reloading bench. I was at Sam's Club today and saw a box of " Puppy Training Pads " and decided to giv...

You folks are in my prayers. I agree with the comments about the disease. I had a friend that developed alz and his comment was that, for him, the early stages were the worst. He know what was coming and it was terrifying.

Re: Carrying in a “daycare” private school?

I'm not at all certain that your daycare center is a "school" for purposes of TPC §46.03. However, to be safe, get written permission to carry (it must be in writing) in the facility when kids are present. Again, daycare centers are not off-limits, but school buildings are prohibited areas...

Re: Time period for LTC 100

Actually, RossA, I assumed the 1 year statute had lapsed. You posted this on 4/25 and reported she took the class last April. That would only give her possibly a few days to find an instructor and show proficiency and get it all submitted. Unless I'm missing something, she took the classroom portio...

Re: 5 year waiting period after a Class B misdemeanor

The law is clear, you have to wait 5 years from the date of conviction. DPS has stressed that it is NOT the date of the offense. I have been told that DPS is interpreting this to mean 5 years from the end of probation. Is that correct? Worth fighting with DPS over? It's five years from the date of ...

That's my understanding also. I should have been more clear. Thanks.
