Re: Forum will be down for maintenance 5/22/18

I want to publicly thank the folks at https://www.virtbiz.com/ for their help and support. The problem was not of their making, yet they provided support that I suspect was beyond that normally provided on a dedicated server. These folks have been great since the first day we moved the Forum here a ...

Re: Forum will be down for maintenance 5/22/18

Well, that took a bit longer than I expected. There was a database problem that took a while to fix. For a while, I was worried I'd have to restore the old database and files. That would have put me back to square one. Sorry for the long downtown folks. I have more work to do with some extensions, t...

Update: The Forum will go down tomorrow afternoon. I'm guessing it will take about 3 to 4 hours.

Re: A question...

Carrying inside a school or at a school-sponsored activity without written permission is a 3rd degree felony. The ramifications of a felony conviction are well known and will be devastating to both the felon and his/her family. I just finished final proofreading of two of my bills. One would remove...

Re: Firefox did not like this site

Now I'm getting a SQL error when I do "Quick links" > "Your posts". It happens with both Chrome & IE. General Error SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ] Expression #1 of SELECT list is not in GROUP BY clause and contains nonaggregated column 'texaschl_database.p.post_id' which is not functionally dependent on colu...

Forum will be down for maintenance 5/22/18

I plan to take the Forum down tonight around 5:00PM to install a software update/upgrade. This is a major upgrade, so it will take a while and it may create bugs. Note I said I "plan" to do it today, but I have to get several things done before I can start that project.

Re: I Like Oliver North For The NRA, But Some Don't?

His support of the assault weapons ban back in 94... but then again, the NRA didn't exactly stand strong against that either back in the day. The NRA did everything possible to block the 1994 assault weapons ban. The Speaker of the House and our own Rep. Jack Brooks begged Clinton not to force them...

Please list the NRA compromises.

Re: !st year of CHL in Texas

Classes were offered in 1995, but licenses issued prior to 1/1/1996 were not effective until 1/1/1996. Some people got two year licenses and some got four year licenses. This was intended to stagger renewals to help DPS. It didn't really work.

This is directly from DPS: "They must be eligible as an non-immigrant and submit all required documents(US Visa, I-94, and a valid hunting license)."
