Re: Oathkeepers: Communists Intend to Overthrow the United States before Inauguration Day

Bring it on. My tools are clean and lubed, all mags loaded, just put new batteries in all optics on Jan 1.

Let's get this party started.

Re: Question about carrying in others home

I am a self-employed health insurance agent, I mostly sell Medicare plans. I am in a few stranger's homes every day, but usually people 65+. I conceal a G19.

"No ask, no tell" is my carry policy.

If someone saw it and asked me to leave, I would leave. No problem.

Re: Tough one - loose dog - their property

Here's the situation. I live in a Texas subdivision that has community mailboxes. The mailbox for my house is down a few houses from mine. On several occasions, the resident of that house allows their large (pitbull like) dog to run freely in the front yard or from the curb to the home. On 2 occasi...

Re: Conceal carry at work

Back before I was self employed, I always carried. Usually a small pistol that was easy to conceal. Never a problem. "No ask, no tell" coupled with "concealed means concealed" gets the job done. Each company had a generic "no weapons" policy in the employee handbook but...

Re: EyePro At The Range: It’s Not A Vague Suggestion

I took about 15 grains of ricochet from a M193 off of a steel target in my right forearm just above the wrist. It buried in pretty good and took pliers to get it out. I have thought about wearing a cup during carbine training since.

Eye pro is a no brainer.

They are completely shut down, even at that new West Fort Worth location. This is as of early December 2016.

It's a step in the right direction, but don't think this will be many schools.

Like the number of private colleges that opted in to campus carry in Texas: 0.

Re: Lost the sheriff last night

Now, it makes me wonder just how much trouble he really would have been in. It couldn't possibly have been that bad. For the part that I've heard about, virtually none; seems while he was out of town, one of the deputies found out he was behind on his training hours, logged in as him and took an on...

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

Hopefully it will be assigned to the right committee. There is only one committee in each chamber that has anything to do with weapons / concealed handguns and things of the like. When you look at the actual bill, it will have "Subjects" with names and codes for those subjects. Bills are ...

Re: Russian ambassador killed

One thing I know for sure... the media is going to tell us that this was not islamic terrorism. :thumbs2: Well isn't it terrorism responding to terrorism? Terrorism is an overloaded word. In short, it is successful assassination of a diplomatic figure in retaliation for a religious-sect cleansing i...

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

This bill should be our only priority. Lt. Gov seems to be pushing for reduced or eliminated LTC fees... so we don't need to push too hard on that one IMO. This will need to be pushed hard. I have already contacted Konni Burton and Craig Goldman, and had my wife do the same. I will have my parents, ...

Re: Inadvertent Entry into 30.06 Area

Most likely, the hypothetical person who walked through an unposted entrance would have zero issue since they would be concealed. If someone saw their firearm somehow, they would most likely be asked to leave (either by the owner or LEO) and would have no issue if they did so. If they were issued a...

Re: Temptation to Teach

[Snip] I would probably have just shaken my head and resolved again to teach my kids what this lady's parents failed to teach her. [Snip] This :iagree: I would use any situation to teach my kids what to do and not to do. If it embarrasses the person of interest then so be it. I would have done what...
