Thought I'd mention that if you can shoot first thing in the morning (9am on Saturdays) you might find an opening at Bracken. I've found those times the least scheduled.

Changes to NRA Basc pistol

Finally read the email I got yesterday from NRA Training. Excerpts in case you haven't gotten it. I know I never received emails that others have talked about. Changes will be released on April 4th to instructor's homepages. "There will be significant improvements to the existing Blended learni...

Re: LTC Range near Cibolo (NW San Antonio)?

That's why I always stop by to schedule classes at Bracken, but unless you schedule a couple months in advance you're not going to get a slot. I've used Bexar Community but you can't reserve. I've always been lucky that there's been two-three lanes open when we've arrived. Everyone on the line has a...

Re: Ft Worth Enforcing Ammo Ban at Will Rogers

I'm doing business in leased space on government property. I ask you to leave the area I'm doing business in, be it a gun show, a restaurant, or a quilting bee, because you've violated a rule I established for entrance[1]. I'm not saying you have to leave the property, just the small part under my ...

Re: Ft Worth Enforcing Ammo Ban at Will Rogers

All of the talk about the 30.06 / .07 is fine. Everyone can agree that the signs are not enforceable. However, the show organizer CAN prohibit almost anything they want. They can prohibit cigars if they want to. If they don't want you bringing in ammo (as a non vendor) or a loaded gun they are well...

Re: 30.06 vs 30.07 reporting

It's not a private entity though. It's a publicly owned company. And I tried to find all the requirements for a company to be able to have 30.06 signs and I don't see that they meet any. Not saying I'm 100% correct. I could have missed something. But why don't they have a legit 30.06 sign? I've nev...

Would have been interesting if Rabbi David Bendory from Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership could have been on the panel. Would have shown that not all rabbis are on their side.

Re: Smoking at the Pump

Took a college course once where a professor extinguished a lit cigarette in cup full of gas. A cigarette burning by itself (not inhaling) does not burn hot enough to ignite gasoline. Just useless knowledge. I've seen people do that and it works well as long as there aren't a lot of fumes. I've als...
