Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

Well, your LTC is quickly available on SOME database. About 2 years ago, my wife and I went to a U.S. Air Force base as visitors. When we were checking in at the front gate office, the guy behind the counter took my driver's license, typed something into a computer and immediately said, "he's ...

Re: DPS Update for Instructors

Well, that law says: "(2) regularly instructs others in the use of handguns and has graduated from a handgun instructor school that uses a nationally accepted course designed to train persons as handgun instructors;" Are they trying to say that the DPS instructor licensing 'school' is NOT...

San Antonio East Side Instructor Shoot

I'm in Cibolo, are there any instructors that want to get together for a recertification shoot? While I think all meeting some where for a one-time shoot would be great I'd be willing to help out a fellow instructor by meeting up individually.

Re: Online Veteran Exchange looking for beta testers

As JakeTheSnake said, purchasing through the Exchange does benefit the troops. I've attached a page showing some ammo prices.

Re: Online Veteran Exchange looking for beta testers

Received this email today. IMG_0430.JPG So did I. I figured it would be a select few, but it seems almost everyone that signed up is getting selected to beta test. :smilelol5: After looking through the website, I don't see much of a discount (except maybe sales tax?) I will probably just wait until...

Yes it is. The problem is that the cafe will tell people that the posting does not apply to the cafe.

Problematic 06/07 Posting

This is the entrance to the Bracken Cafe in Selma, Tx. Would you carry into here? http://guardianfirearmtraining.com/images/BrackenCafe1.jpg The problem is that Bracken Cafe is NOT posted. The cafe occupies about 1/3 of this building, the rest belongs to Retama Park Race Track (horse racing). They A...

Re: Course of Fire Link

Could someone please provide the link to the course of fire? I need some more copies. The only one I have remaining is taped to my electronic megaphone for class use. For some reason I cannot locate it on the DPS website or on the Admin Rules area. Thanks, It can be found in the Administrativ...

Re: LTC Recert Range Proficiency Test

It's actually a pretty stupid requirement. I don't believe there are many (or any) instructors that would fail. Proficiency as easy at it isn't that important. There are a lot of people who qualify with a full sized 1911, and a Blackhawk. and carry these itty-bitty LCPs and Ruger BlackHawks. I don'...

Some still is, though only for export purposes.

I recall 20-25 years ago, t-shirts with RSA code that were classified as munitions under ITAR, and thus illegal to export from the US.

Still have mine.

Texas Administrative Code

Looking at: TITLE 37 PUBLIC SAFETY AND CORRECTIONS PART 1 TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY CHAPTER 6 LICENSE TO CARRY HANDGUNS There was an update on March 15, 2017. https://texreg.sos.state.tx.us/public/readtac$ext.ViewTAC?tac_view=4&ti=37&pt=1&ch=6 I think there's been these two chang...

Re: Can I renew license that expired 5 years ago

I'm reviving this one because someone asked me today about renewing an expired license. I told her there was a one year grace period. I remembered this topic and wanted to verify my answer. When I followed the link I found that Texas Administrative Code, Title 37, Part 1, Chapter 6, Subchapter B had...
