Re: Trimming Nails on Wooden Privacy Fence

As far as this case goes, the fence is between two private residences that both paid for the fence. Why should the OP get the smooth finished side and the neighbor the bad side? There are ways to handle this so they both get a good attractive side but that takes a little communication and cooperati...

Re: Trimming Nails on Wooden Privacy Fence

There's end cutting pliers too. Might leave a tiny bit sticking out though and will certainly take more effort, but they are only about $20. If deck screws were used I would *not* use these. Those are tough little boogers. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Channellock-7-1-2-in-Cross-Cutting-Pliers-with-End...

Property in and out of city

A similar thread reminded me of a discussion I was having with a friend a while back. Friend has three acres that are rather long and narrow. He fronts on a road that the city has extended a tendril down but only about 100 ft either side. Obviously for tax purposes. He has been lead to believe that ...

Re: Texas Monthly

the last worthwhile article I saw in that rag was about a ranch somewhere in Tx that is making olive oil from their own trees on the ranch. Wish I'd saved that article as I didn't know olive trees would survive the cold here, much less the soil. http://www.texasmonthly.com/food/the-other-oil-boom/ ...

I'm starting to think that they are saying this just to avoid having to deal with somebody being called out on passing an invalid sign.

They recommend bringing a towel to place on top of the barrels to set you gun, mags, and ammo on so it doesn't slide around. Highly recommended.

And so nothing disappears into the bung hole if the cap is missing. A good number were during the January LTC instructor class.

In Canada you can't come and take them.

Canada evidently uses a list of firearms that are allowed instead of prohibiting by type or attribute. The RCMP has taken advantage of this to ban a special version of the CZ858. The CZ858 is an allowed (but restricted) firearm but CZ made a special production run for Wolverine Supplies, which has a...

Re: Do you wear gloves when cleaning your guns?

I have the gloves on hand anyway so I should but generally just wash my hands thoroughly afterwards. Handling some toxins there. I also have some waterless cleanser in the truck and wash up after shooting.

Re: Drilling precision holes

I agree. The holes are all the same size, it's detecting the height of the case. Mechanically I'd try something like a rock sorter. Actually I just remembered having seen a bowl - like sorter that fits into a 5 - gallon bucket. Slots in the bottom of the proper size. Shake it and the proper size fal...

Re: Spanish LTC Class

I've been doing Spanish License to Carry classes in the Odessa/Midland area, but lately have been having second thoughts. I've been doing LTC/CHL for 4 years now and have avoided charging prior to class. Lately, on my Spanish classes, I'll have several sign up and come class day, I'll have over hal...
