Re: Do you wear gloves when cleaning your guns?

I have the gloves on hand anyway so I should but generally just wash my hands thoroughly afterwards. Handling some toxins there. I also have some waterless cleanser in the truck and wash up after shooting.

Re: Drilling precision holes

I agree. The holes are all the same size, it's detecting the height of the case. Mechanically I'd try something like a rock sorter. Actually I just remembered having seen a bowl - like sorter that fits into a 5 - gallon bucket. Slots in the bottom of the proper size. Shake it and the proper size fal...

Re: Spanish LTC Class

I've been doing Spanish License to Carry classes in the Odessa/Midland area, but lately have been having second thoughts. I've been doing LTC/CHL for 4 years now and have avoided charging prior to class. Lately, on my Spanish classes, I'll have several sign up and come class day, I'll have over hal...

Re: LAW Adapter Install ready for test firing

..... LAWS Rocket: http://i65.tinypic.com/opag6.jpg NFA stamp not needed for the adapter. I'm going to go ahead and ask it here. I served 77-83 and don't remember ever seeing it referred to as LAWS in the military. First time I saw it referred to as LAWS was at a police display in the late 80s. Any...

OK, you are scaring me, what was your MOS? :eek6

11B/C but back in the day (started with OD fatigues) for an officer that was light/mechanized infantry. Went from LPC to APC.

Re: NRA rolling back blended training

So I sent back 15 student packages and have not received a check and now I will have to buy more? Ugh. Unfortunately, I gutted my student packets and threw out the tests & certificates (kept the handbooks & safety pamphlets for future use) before I saw the email about sending them back for ...

Re: Easiest free firearm I ever got

So the exiting employee had been carrying it in that condition? And does your SIL now call you "The Wheelgun Whisperer"? My guess? He got the firearm, put six rounds in it and then rarely, if ever, opened it again. Maybe never removed it from the holster. It was severely in need o...

Re: The best thing about buying a new washer...

... are the 8 free cardboard targets one can make from the box it comes in! :anamatedbanana (Ok, the washer was kinda fun too) Now I have finally some backers for the li'l target-stand I bought a while back. Seriously, I was struggling to find 18x30" cardboard, sort of IPSC/IDPA size, that I c...

Easiest free firearm I ever got

Well, my SIL. He works security, level 3. His boss had an exiting employee return an old Taurus .357 revolver he'd been loaned. When the boss checked on it later the cylinder wouldn't come out. After a couple whacks it came out but then wouldn't go back in. Ejector rod wouldn't fit into the housing....

If you can misplace 3200 9mm bullets and an unknown number of .45 in you reloading room I'm visualizing the storage room the Ark is placed into in Indiana Jones.

Re: pasadena gun show

Pumaguy is confused. I bought a gun a couple weeks ago, but not at the gun show. It has been a long time since I have been to a gun show at Pasadena so I can't comment on recent shows. As with most gun shows, they vary month to month with the type and number of booths that they have. I don't know t...
