Re: Photobucket ruined the internet

Try the Wayback Machine (if you don't get the reference, tsk, tsk). It's real name is the Internet Archive and is trying to cache a history of the internet. It includes pictures if at all possible. If you find it there you can print the page to PDF for a personal copy. https://archive.org/web/ FYI o...

Re: Minimum Caliber for Handgun Proficiency Exam

Medley86 wrote:Not that I would expect it to happen often, but since there is no caliber restriction, could one use an AR pistol with a brace, and then since the atf has decided it's ok, shoulder it?

As long as the brace has not been modified and the shoulder use is incidential, sporadic, or situational.

There have been fundraisers but I don't know if any further are planned.

Coty Mcdonnel - case dismissed

I know it was discussed here but my search-fu is weak this morning. From the neighbor's Facebook page. --------------------- CASE DISMISSED! It was nearly a year ago that my neighbor, Coty McDonnell was arrested while making a citizen's arrest of three men who he believed were attempting to break in...

Re: Instructors Class tomorrow question

It was a little cool in the morning. I was in the first am class and if tomorrow is the same it will be packed. Get there early. Attendance evidently tapered off greatly over the week.

Re: Shooting looters

It wouldn't be the criminal courts but the civil courts one would have to worry about... Ummm no. You are protected from civil suit in a justified self defense shooting under Texas law. The law still allows them to file, but it'd have to be a pretty stupid lawyer to take a civil case where a shooti...

Re: what knife are you carrying on friday?

Hmmm. I have a bayonet, M1905, that my father brought home after WWII. 16 inches. Only problem is that it's the Krag hanger and the upper half is missing.

Re: More Military Equipment for Cops

They use 40mm tear gas and bean bag rounds so I have no problem with the launchers. Tanks, no. MRAPs like the Cougar not so much problem with.

Re: Recert class

In the Monday AM class they asked how many people meet the requirements for doing an online class and 6-10 people raised their hands. This surprised me. But then I asked; does online mean like a defensive driving class, webinar, video conferencing, Skype? The answer was, surprise: We don't know. BUT...

Texas Admin Code TITLE 37 PART 1 CHP 6 Phamplet

Couldn't find one anywhere so I made up my own. Got tired of using data when I was out. Thought I'd share it. I plan on keeping it updated with changes.

Re: Keeping Records for 6 Years

Problem is that I don't think these are actually announced. I know I didn't know the March edition had been published until someone here mentioned it. I'm working right now on pulling all of 37/1/6 into a pdf which I hopefully will keep updated and allow me to compare changes.
