I really don't understand how kids are supposed to carry their books and stuff around without backpacks.

I carried mine in my hands all through school up to and including college..... as did everyone else.

Thank you, one and all. This makes 76 of 'em. With a little luck and the Lord be willin', we might get in a few more before the 'roll is called up yonder'.

Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

America doesn't have a "gun problem" but rather a cultural problem. Violence as a form of expression has become normalized. Look at the violent anti-Trump and pro-fascist protests. Look at the manner in which Philadelphia expressed its joy over the SB win. Look at "thug life" an...

I surely did enjoy the various 870's I've owned over the years. Pump guns that shot many living and clay targets. :nopity

Re: Bad parent!

Today me and the wife ran to Walmart to grab a few things, as I was walking past the pharmacy a "father" gave permission for his 3 litle girls to wander about Walmart without supervision, these three girls aged from 6-7yo for the oldest, middle one seemed to be 4-5yo, youngest maybe 3yo, ...

Re: TV Viewing

I just don't think they come off as good ambassadors for our sport. The general public just sees whanabe thugs shooting their full auto silenced " black" rifles at no particular target. I don't care, but John Q. Public may think it seems mindless and pointless. :iagree: Appearance is seen...

Re: Spooked in a WM parking lot

My mother-in-law hasn't been doing so well, so I haven't been able to get out of the house for almost two weeks, yesterday I slipped out for about an hour and ran a bunch of quick errands, and today I got out and did a couple of things. I hate to admit it, but I didn't have my gun on me  I wa...

In fairness Houston and Dallas have won some championships and left the city intact. Some cities have real pride, others are crapholes.

Re: Not watching the Superbowl

1st amendments rights do not give you the right to protest on your employers dime. If you wanna protest and exercise your right call a news conference and do it on your front yard, but then I suspect they wouldn’t have a national audience like they do while earning a paycheck on their owners dime. ...

I've not watched a single minute of NFL football this season; however, we are invited to a Superbowl party at a friend's house tomorrow evening and unless I miss my guess, their TV will be on. :grumble

Re: Smooth fingerprints rejected

Mrs. Oldgringo's fingerprints were rejected 4 times, over 160 days, on her first application. It took a call to our state senator to get her license released...that was some 12 years ago.

Printer ink is more expensive than 12 year old single malt scotch......that may be one problem?
