Re: I won a Windham AR for $390

I have both Ruger and Bushmaster AR-15's in .223 /5.56 calibers and both are 'locked and cocked'. I suspect either or both will serve us well should the occasion arise.

After all is and said and done, it's not the price of the gun; but rather, the person behind the gun, eh?

Definitely this.

Yep, this outfit definitely has some sort of double, and possibly elitist, standard.

I'm quite pleased with the two Daisy 853 air rifles I've purchased through the Anniston CMP; however, " Just as they vary in age, they also vary in condition and amount of use. Some appear to be new or barely used, while others show plenty of battle scars and character (dings and dents )."...

Re: "Swatting" claims another innocent victim shot by LEO

How so? What do you know that the rest of us don't? If no one is charged then nothing for a court to sort. That, and dead folks can't testify. Ever notice when the innocent victim lives, there are always huge payouts, and plenty of blame/liability? But when they die, there is some public outrage, f...

One thing that is absolutely "fingernails on the chalkboard" to me is when the younger generation states that something happened "ON ACCIDENT." Proper usage is this : things either happen "BY ACCIDENT" or "ON PURPOSE". Some new words/usage make perfect sense ...

If I'm in my home, not wearing my prescription hearing aids, which I don't anymore as they drove me crazy...ok, crazier.... Later some L.E. demand outside my home I do this or that - what I can't hear is a real pickle...and guess what, I DON'T have to wear them for their convenience. But, yeah, the...

Re: Traveling to/thru other states

We've traveled in all of the states you mention and have even lived in some. Don't ask, don't tell, don't show and follow TAM's advice above. In fact, we expect to be RV'ing in most all of them again come April. FWIW, we find the Civil War places much more interesting than the touristy places in the...

I have a 4.5-14x40 Mueller from Joe Bob on my bull barrel 10/22 and G.I. Joe peep sights on the other. I really need to get out and shoot 'em along with my CZ's and various Ruger handguns. C'mon warmer weather.

Silliness, pure silliness!

To "Heck and Back" was not the title of the book nor the movie. I suspect that any precious children who go to any church have heard the "h" word more than once.

Re: My Water Line Burst

Did the pipe burst between the meter and the street or between the meter and the house? If it's between the meter and the street the billing agency/city owns it.
