Re: OH: Gramps trips up robber

Don't worry Ohio, this career criminal will be out of prison soon to rob again. The article says he has "a lengthy criminal record". I'm just trying to picture a Glock 9MM pistol that holds 29 rounds.

Re: Off Duty draws on innocent man

I agree with other posters, accountability is the key. It shouldn't take a month to "investigate" this sort of crime. (Especially with video evidence.) The brotherhood, and civil service unions all circle the wagons in cases like this. I support good, professional, LEO's. This guy, and others like h...

Off Duty draws on innocent man

Off-duty police officer in California draws on man buying Mentos candy - It's this sort of thing that is a driving reason why LEO's are losing the respect of law abiding citizens. I was taught in my CHL classes the threshold to draw was very high. If one of us had done this, we'd be on our way to ja...

Someone may have posted this before me, but seriously now, who goes to the post office anymore? I haven't set foot inside one in years.

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

All these weeks and months later, the DA up there has decided he needs more time. December 28, 2017 - MINNEAPOLIS A Minnesota prosecutor said Thursday that he needs more time to decide whether to charge a police officer who fatally shot an Australian woman after she called 911 for help. Officer Noor...

Re: KS:Witchta man dies after fake "Swatting" call

NOTHING will happen to the 'officer' who fired the kill shot. No charges, no consequences. Right now he's on a paid vacay while all this blows over. The gamer who called in the fake 911 call was arrested in Los Angeles. The same guy was arrested for calling in a fake bomb threat two years ago. As fa...

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

“It’s certainly reasonable to assume that any police officer would be concerned about a possible ambush under these circumstances,” - That is from the attorney of the officer who spoke to investigators. He, the lawyer, also cited the attack on the officer up in NYC who was shot and killed while sitt...

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

Noor may not have to speak with the state investigators, but I'm willing to bet as a member of the Police Cops, he must talk to Internal Affairs. I don't know how accurate it is, there is a report out this morning, a source says the officers may have thought they were under attack - I'm taking that ...

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off

I love it when a govt agents break the law, but it's really just a "policy infraction". If ANY of us drew a weapon during a traffic incident, it's against the law and immediately marked "road rage". This Ranger will violate policy again, lets hope no one ends up dead because of it.

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

I'm going to slightly disagree with you - The camera policy I saw mirrored what you wrote, but also had a use of force policy also. It went something like, the cams must be activated after any use of force, or when safe to do so. They didn't activate them at all. The cameras also had a loopback feat...

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

Now, it's worse. The LEO who did the shooting is refusing to be interviewed. Isn't that nice? The driver of the squad was interviewed -- "Officer Harrity indicated that he was startled by a loud sound near the squad. Immediately afterward Ruszczyk approached the driver's side window of the squad," s...

As a pro in the IT world, data storage is really affordable these days. These clowns should have had the body cams going and violated their own policy by not activating them.

Re: Husband can't get an LTC; what about wife?

There are several reasons her husband could be ineligible for an LTC, having a felony record is only one of many. The husband may be allowed to possess guns but not qualified to get an LTC. If he is disqualified from being in possession of a weapon because he has a felony record, it doesn't mean hi...

How many more times will government agents make a fatal 'mistake' and not be held accountable? If you or I fired at someone who was unarmed, who posed no threat, what do you think would happen? http://www.startribune.com/minneapolis-police-officer-who-shot-killed-justine-damond-identified-as-mohamed...

Re: Video released of gunfight between Johnson County neighbors

If the old dude recovers, he should be charged. On the other hand, who has a game cam looking at a gate in ones fence? Lucky the video was available.
