Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

“It’s certainly reasonable to assume that any police officer would be concerned about a possible ambush under these circumstances,” - That is from the attorney of the officer who spoke to investigators. He, the lawyer, also cited the attack on the officer up in NYC who was shot and killed while sitt...

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

Noor may not have to speak with the state investigators, but I'm willing to bet as a member of the Police Cops, he must talk to Internal Affairs. I don't know how accurate it is, there is a report out this morning, a source says the officers may have thought they were under attack - I'm taking that ...

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off

I love it when a govt agents break the law, but it's really just a "policy infraction". If ANY of us drew a weapon during a traffic incident, it's against the law and immediately marked "road rage". This Ranger will violate policy again, lets hope no one ends up dead because of it.

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

I'm going to slightly disagree with you - The camera policy I saw mirrored what you wrote, but also had a use of force policy also. It went something like, the cams must be activated after any use of force, or when safe to do so. They didn't activate them at all. The cameras also had a loopback feat...

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

Now, it's worse. The LEO who did the shooting is refusing to be interviewed. Isn't that nice? The driver of the squad was interviewed -- "Officer Harrity indicated that he was startled by a loud sound near the squad. Immediately afterward Ruszczyk approached the driver's side window of the squa...

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

As a pro in the IT world, data storage is really affordable these days. These clowns should have had the body cams going and violated their own policy by not activating them.

Re: Husband can't get an LTC; what about wife?

There are several reasons her husband could be ineligible for an LTC, having a felony record is only one of many. The husband may be allowed to possess guns but not qualified to get an LTC. If he is disqualified from being in possession of a weapon because he has a felony record, it doesn't mean hi...

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

How many more times will government agents make a fatal 'mistake' and not be held accountable? If you or I fired at someone who was unarmed, who posed no threat, what do you think would happen? http://www.startribune.com/minneapolis-police-officer-who-shot-killed-justine-damond-identified-as-mohamed...

If the old dude recovers, he should be charged. On the other hand, who has a game cam looking at a gate in ones fence? Lucky the video was available.

MN LEO shoots, kills, 911 caller

http://www.startribune.com/minneapolis-police-officer-who-shot-killed-justine-damond-identified-as-mohamed-noor/434975623/#1 This has to be one of the strangest shootings ever. A woman calls 911 near midnight about some sort of disturbance. She meets two LEO's outside as they drive up to the alley. ...

Re: Husband can't get an LTC; what about wife?

Offering the class shouldn't be an issue, anyone can take the class. She should learn in the class that a felon in possession of a firearm, even by marriage, is a crime. I have had many arguments about this, some think "shall not be infringed" means for felons too. I disagree.

Agree - apologies if I gave the impression they were the same. They're not, not by a long shot.

Re: SB 88- Making red light camera tickets illegal

A hassle? Understatement of the year friend. The basic problem is, when government makes a mistake, and I'm putting it mildly here, almost nobody is ever held accountable. I just finished reading the entire FDLE report for the negligence shooting in Florida of a 73 year old woman taking part in a po...

Re: SB 88- Making red light camera tickets illegal

What you vote for, is what you get. I'm pretty sure The Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying, isn't elected, but the politicians who appropriate the money for the board sure are. The fine is clearly unconstitutional. All of us have heard it, "You may beat the rap, ...

Re: SB 88- Making red light camera tickets illegal

In my town the voters got a chance to vote to keep or reject them. It also happened the then current Mayor was running for re-election and running a very pro red light camera campaign. He and the cameras were soundly beaten by a 70-30 margin. If the politicians let the voters decide, it would be a b...
