Back in here again

Well, after I *brilliantly* let my CHL expire a few years ago :banghead: , I've decided to get the card again. So I'm back in here, to wait the long wait. Fortunately from what I've been seeing, I won't have to wait 6 months this time. 10/01 - Application submitted 10/06 - Class taken and CHL-100 su...

Re: Committee substitute for HB 972 passes committee

Wow UTSA is gonna have to post like 30 - 30.06 signs and god help them if they are not 100 percent valid. Ill carry right past them in a heart beat . They only have to post 1. There has never been a test case saying it has to be posted everywhere. To properly post 30.06 signs, it must be on every e...

Wow UTSA is gonna have to post like 30 - 30.06 signs and god help them if they are not 100 percent valid. Ill carry right past them in a heart beat . That's probably for downtown. Heck, the UC building alone has like 15 entrances not including all the underground service tunnels that some people us...

Munday Chevrolet posting outdated signage

Afternoon all, just wanted some other opinions real quick. I'm at the Munday Chevrolet in north Houston getting an oil change done, when I came across a sign on every door, stating possession of conealed carry prohibited by texas civil statutes article 4413 (29ee). And while I'm certain that this no...

Re: College Parking Lot

I actually talked to a couple of the campus police at the downtown campus, and they really could care less if you leave a gun locked in your car, mainly because this is where the campus of public policy is, so they know its a bunch of students trying to get a to either go local or federal police. Th...

Re: Crime Statistics: CHL v. General Population

First off, I think y'all might have been trolled earlier. And second, you'll never see this information anywhere near the Brady website, because it actually portrays CHL holders as law abiding citizens, which goes against their creedo of "all guns are bad, and no one should have them." The...

Re: More Shoddy Reporting "man carries cased gun into hotel"

I wonder if this "incident" is the same sort of thing and we'll never hear the true resolution because the media will not want to report it. Not unless it manages to end in his conviction on whatever charges they can bring relating to his firearms. Otherwise, yes, we'll never hear about it.

Re: San Antonio Convention Center 30.05 Sign

IANAL but if I remember some of the earlier discussions we've had on the subject, posting 30.05 is almost the same as a gunbuster sign, just that if your carrying illegally, the punishment might be a little harsher. So if your carrying legally, with a CHL, please continue your foward movement past th...

Re: 93-year-old SoCal woman drives off home invasion robber

To me the reporter has a tone that says, "she should've called the cops and let them handle it." But good for the old lady for not only being able to stand up for herself, but also telling criminals that the elderly are no longer going to lay down and be their prey.

Since Allison is going back to school soon, I suggest you get in all your requests for information before she leaves Mr. Cotton's office, so she can get them done before leaving. (yes shes my little sister, so I can suggest extra work for her. mwuahahaha) And I'll have to thank her and MR. Cotton fo...

Re: Another Pennsylvania CHL defends himself

I want a Tec-9 just to off gun-grabbers, what's the going rate for them? Gunbroker.com is running them for around $600. I also would get a Mac-10 to go with that Tec-9. OR if the Mac-10 is illeagal, then I'll get the barrel extension with vented shroud for the Tec-9. Either way, will probably make t...

Re: Star Telegram article on School Carry

You hate disarming in the parking lot? I hate riding the public bus at 0-dark-hundred to be able to get to class. Riding to and from school, I always see the people that I'd normally try and avoid, and it scares me that in the event of an emergency, I can't defend myself if need be. Have you talked...
