As long as you are making an honest effort to pay your taxes (and you are), I can not see how this will effect your CHL application. I just got mine payed off last month. Go for it.

I filled out the CHL application on-line around April the 3rd and it took about a week to arrive, then I took the CHL test on Saturday April 26th., sent in my application on Monday April 28th (certified with signature confirmation) and DPS received it on April 29th. Hi ya'll! I am a new member, also, I filed 3/20/08 on line and recieved my packet 4/4/08. I just took the CHL test yesterday 4/26/08. I have my packet ready to be mailed Monday morning!
