Both eyes open except for magnifying scope on a rifle.

Re: New sights recommendation for S&W Shield

I like XS big dots for my weapons.... I do not own a Shield. This is far by my favorite. I do have XS Sights on my Shield 9 and Shield .45. I place XS Big Dots on all of my firearms for self defense including my AR's except for my 1911's. They are Dan Wesson's and come with a sight really similar t...

Re: New sights recommendation for S&W Shield

After I tried the Trijicon HD's on one gun, I put them on everything I carry frequently.

As you bring the gun up to eye level, you just can't help but focus on that big honkin' dot on the front sight, and the U notch in the rear is perfect for lining up those longer shots.

Re: Sub2k Sub2000 folding concealed rifle

To you guys who are carrying Sub2K in a briefcase - what kind of briefcase are you using? I have one that I've had for 20+ years that I used to carry to work everyday, now it just sits in the closet. Just a typical briefcase with two metal clasp/combination locks on it. I have this one, but it's mo...

Re: Replacing sights on Springfield XD9

I have replaced the sights on both my xd45 tactical and my xds. The sights seem to be installed cryogenicly, and are very useful if you like to break tools. Since I had absolutely no intention of re using the sights i simply used a cut-off wheel in a dremel to take a slice across them, then a few l...

I found this: http://www.performanceservicesmachining.com/kel-tec-sub-2000-products/kel-tec-sub-2000-combat-aperture-lever-actuated-folding-rear-sight/ . ⋅ Larger .170″ sight aperture as compared to the .125″ original sight aperture. ⋅ The first and best lever actuated rear sigh...

Re: Don't let a crisis go to waste: Florida Airport Shooting

Screening at the airport entrance would require a major redesign and remodeling of every airport.

Despite what the reactionary snowflakes would like to impose on those of us who don't live in mom's basement and actually fly, that's just not going to happen.

Re: Replacing sights on Springfield XD9

I've replaced sights on an XD, an XDS and two XD Mod 2's. The tapered slide makes it necessary to have a way to clamp the slide vertically as well as horizontally. Sight pushers that don't have this feature won't work. A good example that I know works is this one. . However, unless you've got a lot ...

Re: Factory Sight Alignment

The picture looks like the sight is off center to the right, which would send your shots left.

It also looks like the sight is mounted in a dovetail slot.

Any gunsmith (or even a friend with a sight pusher tool) could fix that in a jiffy.

Re: Sub2k Sub2000 folding concealed rifle

I picked up the .40 S&W version that uses M&P mags from Gunbroker for $297.

I found the tube stock uncomfortable against my cheek during recoil and added a foam pad duct taped to it - perfection!

So what's it going to take for the legislature to make it clear beyond any "interpretation" other than the legislature's clear intent? Daily $500 fines personally payable by the senior elected executive official in the jurisdiction, commencing when notice of violation is served on his or ...
