Re: Who else is a 45acp man?

After seeing those beautiful grips on JohnSmallTX's 1911 I had to dig out my BBQ grips for my Les Baer. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d74/carlson1/IMG_6700_zpso7yo5cfb.jpg My Dan Wesson ECO with an Ed Brown magwell (makes the grip a tad longer). This is the one I carry most as the weather gets ...

Re: Please Pray For My Mom

The LORD heard the prayers and her heart went back into rhythm without the procedure. They are keeping her a couple of days to observe her. They will be tweaking her medicine. This is the most important section on this Forum to me. THANK YOU MR. Cotton for starting this category. :thumbs2: I do not...

Re: High vs. Low ride holster

Higher = easier to maintain concealment. Lower = better draw. Anything in between is a compromise, like so many other chl issues. I prefer a mid height for casual concealment. Owb with a shirt that just covers and a forward cant - for purely open carry I go with a lower holster an little to no cant...

.... that closer than 21 feet it is impossible to draw before the BG is on you. ... Umm, maybe, sort of... There is nothing holy...or legal...or illegal... about 21 feet. It roughly corresponds to the distance that a lot of people can cover in about 1.5 seconds if they are trying hard, and 1.5 seco...

......because nowhere else in the world has anyone ever thought of strapping on a bomb vest and WALKING into a crowd....... Maybe if they just banned people from crowded areas, it would solve the problem. :banghead: That's logical but outside their realm of thought. Re: The SERPA Stinks, And That’s Just All There Is To Say About It

My wife and I both OC in SERPA holsters. As long as your trigger discipline is where it needs to be, there's no added chance that you'll have an ND. With my pistol, pressing the release button on the holster places my finger straight and off the trigger as I draw the weapon ...

Swedish Terrorism Solution: Ban Cars

There's definitely something in the air or water over there - you can't make this stuff up: A major Swedish newspaper actually proposed banning motor vehicles from city streets as the solution to their terrorism problem. They suggest that there's a gender equality benefit to doing this as well, as t...

Re: Mark your house properly and visibly!

Excellent advice - particularly about the "visible from both directions". When I buy a house, I'll make sure that's done. r There's also no rule that says the address must be posted in only one spot. Posting on the mailbox (front or both sides), the curb, and on the house in reflective nu...

Re: Mark your house properly and visibly!

When making medical first responder and fire calls as a VFD guy, I have often found it difficult to immediately find the right house because they are poorly marked as to the actual address. The mailbox with the correct number is closer to different house, or it's across the street, or half the numb...

The City Of Markham (a suburb of Chicago) has elected a convicted felon as their mayor.

Imagine that.

I thought a felony background was a prerequisite for holding public office in Illinois.

Re: World's Most Complicated Retention Holster

I'm going to guess after a few more days pass, the ahem, inventor, will come out and say: Just kidding! "I wanted to see how many of you would think I was serious with this Rube Goldbergian faux holster..." Suckers!!! Somebody had to put an awful lot of work into cobbling together the dev...
