Re: WILSON COMBAT INTRODUCES THE “HARDEST HITTING AR CARBINE EVER PRODUCED”

And a target for such a rifle would be: ?... as it doesn't like fun or inexpensive to shoot. That said, I have exactly zero desire to own such a thing. I’m not afraid to try shooting one; I just have no desire to own one. Largest caliber rifle I have fired to date - a friend’s .375 H&H magnum. ...

Re: WILSON COMBAT INTRODUCES THE “HARDEST HITTING AR CARBINE EVER PRODUCED”

Soccerdad1995, I was quite literally meant targets, not markets. Though, you do bring up a great subject. Who buys these guns? And, I'm not against them, I just don't understand wanting such punishment as they probably deliver once the trigger is pulled.... TAM, I'm not heading to Alaska or Africa ...

I’ve got a Rock River X-1 in 458 SOCOM and it works well on pigs.

Re: My guns don't need to be pretty, they just need to work

I’ve carried many different handguns and reliability, capacity and my ability to shoot them well are the things I consider. I tend to lean toward Glock because of their proven reliability, low cost and availability of parts and accessories.

Re: Is the .40 dead?

Denial won’t change the fact that .40 is dying. Police departments are leaving it in droves and there is a surplus of police trade ins in .40. My firearm distributors are putting new pistols in .40 S&W on clearance, that in itself is an indicator of a lack of demand. They are not taking a loss o...

Re: FFL Transfer fees The Arms Room

I can see the day when brick and mortar stores will be few and far between, the only thing that will save them is sales tax across the board on out of state sales. When people like Buds Gun Shop have to charge sales tax for every sale things will equalize and the local dealer can compete. People lik...

Re: Sorry - but I have to confirm regarding transfers.

Why are you even bothering with transfers? There is no "registry" and Texas doesn't care. How is it any different than buying from a private seller as no 4473 is done then? Because for now my mom still lives in another state. It didn’t occur to me until I was typing my initial post, but w...

Re: FFL Transfer fees The Arms Room

I don't know if the address is in Dickinson, but it just off 45 south. Nice place, but costly. I'm fairly certain we've some guys of the forum who're qualified FFL who charge MUCH less for a transfer. The Arms Room is over the top with their FFL transfer fees. I’ve had people come to me who were ma...

Re: Laptop display problem

I’m assuming that your laptop screen died but you can connect an external monitor. On most laptops you can toggle to an external display, on Dell it’s the FN key plus F8. The function key should have a symbol with a screen and you use that to toggle from the laptop screen to an external monitor.

Re: Lever-action pistol

In reality, that gun is an SBR. No, it isn't ( at least not until ATF redefines it as such... ). Whether you allow it to be used in your class is your call and your prerogative, but don't try it justify it as anything other than your personal preference. I agree, the ATF definition is clear ...
