Rock River Arms 458 SOCOM AR for sale

I have a Rock River Arms LAR-458 X-1 series AR in 458 SOCOM for sale with a Burris MTAC 1.5-6 power scope and P.E.P.R. mount. It has a great trigger from the factory so there was no need to use aftermarket. I have had this a couple of years and have fired about 200 rounds through it (at the most, I ...

Re: Pawn shop Wingmaster

I bought an old, abused 870 Wingmaster with pitted barrel from a police auction. It was so beat up I couldn’t sell it so I decided to Duracoat the entire shotgun, Wood stocks and all. Surprisingly it shot better than the Benelli Nova and Browning BPS I bought and l ended up keeping it. After the bla...

Re: SAR 9 - 9mm Semi-Auto - Own One?

I sold one the other day, after reading the article I tried the trigger with the customer there and it felt fine. It’s the first one I’ve sold so I’m not sure if he got lucky or the one tested in G&A was a fluke. I had a Canik TP9 and comparing the two I think I’d stick with the TP9 since I thin...

Crazy thing is it's relatively safe as long there is no blasting cap. Yep, had to be pretty safe to handle under most circumstances. Some guys did dumb things with it, one of them being eating small amounts. Supposedly small amounts ingested cause some temporary craziness but I never saw that first...

Re: 80 blocks of C4 and Claymores found buried in Arizona desert.

It’s my guess that, 20 years or so ago, some AZ National Guard guys had to get rid of some extra munitions before a big inspection. Then they forgot where they hid it. If they are that stupid then they need to go to jail. We had sctrict procedures to keep all of our explosives secure from shipment ...

Re: 80 blocks of C4 and Claymores found buried in Arizona desert.

I’ve been told C4 works well for small fires since it burns well. You just don’t want any shock on it when it’s burning. A USMC Nam vet friend of mine told me how they'd burn small pieces. That evidently stopped when one of the guys in his unit stomped it out with his boot. Makes me shudder just to...

Re: 80 blocks of C4 and Claymores found buried in Arizona desert.

Well, if they left the military nomenclature on it then it won’t be hard to track down. Well, at least to the point showing who it was issued to. It will only be a matter of time from there to find out who’s going to prison. When you were in the military, you were one of the crazy guys that played ...

Re: 300BLACKOUT pistol build suggestions

OK.... this is just me, and I might be off my rocker, but I don’t get putting a magnified or variable power optic on an AR pistol. Unless you’re going to shoulder it and shoot it like a rifle, I don’t think you can really take advantage of a magnifying scope. OTH, a good red dot is a GREAT choice i...
