Yes, yes you did... I have the Barrage and the 5000 Auto Persidio.. Sadly, the 120.00 Barrage can open the blade faster than the 250.00 auto..

Re: Waco-area man finds out carrying at school stadium = no-no

Seems like one Waco-area CHL'er didn't pay attention in class... http://www.wacotrib.com/news/police/police-man-arrested-after-bringing-gun-into-midway-stadium/article_37ac18a2-4b31-5e0f-a58d-02529369bcd3.html Note: the offender, in this case, was also apparently inebriated, and after being given a...

LOL The salesman asked if I was aware of this happening.. as a country boy, I learned very early.. put dancing cows in the front of the trailer, put calves at the back.. No fun driving, hauling co...

Re: Motor homes

And we just bit the bullet and purchased one on Friday.. Our anniversary gift and her birthday gift. We got a med (24 foot) lightweight MPG. It has bunks for the g-kids, or my semi carpentry skills can do away with the bunks and add a storage/craft room. And yeah, we went to Funtown because there is...

Re: Kindle pros and cons

Picked up my 4GB Paperwhite today and have already figured out how to load the pdf file of the CHL-16 2015-2016. Now to figure out any other cool things it can do. I've got a lot of military manuals on mine .. just google "military manuals in .pdf army field manuals, first aid, survival school...

Re: Black Powder shooting advice

SNIP BTW, it might interest you to know that the "naval scene" engraved on Colt cylinders commemorates the Battle of Campeche in 1844 between the Texas Navy (the victor) and the Mexican Navy. Texas bought a lot of Colt Patersons which bailed Samuel Colt from bankruptcy, and that is how he...

Re: Black Powder shooting advice

TxLobo, Thanks! Is this (traditions) a decent reproduction of colt navy? meh.. keep in mind that the "original" 1851 was made in .36 caliber, and an Octagon Barrel. The "Navy" model that comes in a .44 didn't exist back then. The Cold 1860 model looks sleeker, and originally it ...

Re: Black Powder shooting advice

Outstanding advice from all! :thumbs2: I've spent some time now reading&researching everything. Seems that I can get started with everything (revolver, balls, powder, pillow tickling, caps etc.) for under $500. May even get a Thompson muzzleloader if budget permits. Side note, Is this a reasona...

Re: Black Powder shooting advice

Lots of great pointers, thanks a bunch! Question on potential chain fire and grease. I understand that one way to prevent this is to use grease and rub it all over the cylinder ends. Is this effective and what grease would you recommend? There are two schools of thought on this.. 1 is that the chai...

Re: Black Powder shooting advice

Ah, the slippery slope. I started with a CVA Hawkin .50 percussion. Then came another one and then a Pennsylvania long rifle and then a flintlock and then a cap and ball .44 revolver. Yep, a slippery slope. "SNIP" When Ive been shooting and clean my rifle I remove the barrel and the cap n...
