Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry

Lightningrocks I wished I was s just 50lbs overweight. I am 6’4 and 416lbs at this time. I was 503lbs at my heaviest. I have no problem concealing the commander or the full size. I wear a suit a lot. If not in a suit usually dress pants with a squared off dress shirt untucked. I do also carry it in a Milt Sparks VM2 also. When carrying IWB I use a horizontal mag holder and only carry one extra mag.

My 5” with the same set up.

Sooo I had developed some odd asymmetrical ware on my old g27. Well; of all my pistols this one is one which I will always have and I don’t mind “customizing” it a bit. I gave it a bit of a rub on the slide. Not too deep so that it removed the carborizing, don’t want rust issues and I like the muted shine. I LOVE sig’s equinox finish.

It’s mine and I like it. I know I’m a dork. Don’t be judgie.

Surfer
Would not dare judge, but I have a question. Glock has a pretty good finish that stands up good against rust, etc... My question is when you shined it up did it remove that finish and if so what if anything do you plan to replace it with?

I went back to carrying my 1911 for a while now. I need to update my carry photo I guess, but I just bought one of the Shield .45 without the safety. My wife and I went to the range last week and all I did was take it out of the box, field strip it, wipe it down, add a little gun butter, put it back together, and ran a flawless 125 rounds of WWB through it. I am an XS Big Dot Sight man, but all I did was shoot the Shield stock and it is superb in my opinion. I also found it will fit my leather holsters from my Glock 19.

Great looking revolver. My 686 has no dash and has only had one round fired through it by ND (not me), but that is how I came to purchasing it because his wife told him to get it out of the house.

What holster do you use to support that beast?

I noticed the last few weeks that Grabagun has had the grey frame Glock 19, but it was not a Vickers. It was a good price I thought at $525.00.

Jose_in_Dallas wrote:Haven't updated my daily carry in this thread in a while. Been carrying a Grey Lipsey's Glock 21 since last summer, mostly in a Raven holster both IWB and OWB. I also use a Comp-Tac paddle holster around the house and when I go camping or fishing. With a good holster and belt, it's surprisingly comfortable to carry.

Decided to go back to a revolver after more than 20 years without owning one (last one was a S&W Model 10 that I wish I still had). Fit and finish is excellent, and the laser is a welcome addition (first laser I've ever had on a weapon). Needs a trigger job, though...any suggestions? And the holster was custom made by someone in town to allow for the laser on the frame.
You can buy a DIY kit from Brownells and they have a video on how easy it is on YouTube.

What holster did you order for the Five Seven.

Please forgive my arrogance Charger. I guess I just thought I seen a 5.7 holster because I sure can't find it now. :banghead:
