Re: Semiauto "Mouse" guns always out of stock

My Aunt has a Beretta pistol in 22 short with the tip up barrel for loading. It seems to be very reliable. I believe they make the same gun in 22 LR and 32 ACP.

For revolvers, look at the Ruger LCR's. They have 22 and 22 mag models.

Re: Self driving vehicles creep me out. How will feds mandate purchases?

It will be a cold day in heck before I let a computer control my truck's speed..........um..???? One thing I would mention is that traffic accidents kill and injure more people every year than guns and a LOT of other things. If an auto-drive system is successful and eliminates most of those accident...

Re: .45 Auto Failure to Stop with Head Shot

Looking at the picture, the bullet appears to have just stopped on impact with the skull. I guess it is obvious it wasn't going very fast. Makes me wonder if it was fired out of a sling shot.

Re: .45 Auto Failure to Stop with Head Shot

I had a 45 auto squib load in a 45 carbine once. Bullet stopped halfway down the 16" barrel. I figure it would have weakly exited a shorter barrel.

Re: Old 10/22 in a pawn shop

Even if you didn't want to leave it the way it is, it is still compatible with all the non-take-down aftermarket parts which makes it a cheap base rifle to start with. Left alone, it is a very good plinker.

Re: Self driving vehicles creep me out. How will feds mandate purchases?

Driving is a privilege or so they say. I figure they will start with requiring it in certain lanes or certain roads. People who commute every day or go out on long trips will do it to because it is easier whether or not they get there faster. It will take a lot of time, but eventually it will happen...

Unless there is someone else they are looking for, I don't understand why any of this would remain secret.

Re: Warrantless Search of a motorcycle

My first thought was they had enough information to go ahead and verify the numbers on the bike, but after thinking about it, they also had enough information to get a warrant. They likely could have hung out a few hours and made sure no one moved the bike until a warrant was obtained. This case alo...

Re: KS:Witchta man dies after fake "Swatting" call

When we received training on accidents, we were taught the concept of a chain of events. Breaking any link in the chain will prevent the accident from occurring. I really cannot see how this is any different, besides it not being an accident, which makes it worse. The entire incident would never ha...

Re: Once again, unarmed does not equate to harmless

Age may not be recognized in print, but it is recognized in practice with prosecutors and jurors.

IMO, there are a thousand different things that can make a confrontation unequal. The law can't cover them all and probably shouldn't.

Re: 300BLACKOUT pistol build suggestions

Yeah - supersonics through a suppressor are no big deal for your ears to handle, and we're hardly going to need to worry about "Oh noes, the supersonic crack reveals our location!" indoors. Look forward to seeing the build  Supersonics are probably loud enough to be an issue long...

Re: KS:Witchta man dies after fake "Swatting" call

They will prosecute him for something, I just don't know how it will be done or how serious of a charge they will be able to make. My only question was if the officer is found to have acted appropriately and not prosecuted, I am sure the guy's lawyer will use that in trial for any charge beyond just...

Re: Acquittal in Bundy Ranch Prosecutions

I have no sympathy for Bundy. Ranchers should pay for their grass leases. That is well-accepted--at least in Texas. Bundy thinks he is entitled to a free grass-lease on the tax-payer's dime. Just a free-loader in my eyes. IMO, turn the land over to the state to manage or sell/give the land to the r...

Re: TX:Gun handler kills brother after midnight in Houston

For the rest of us, I guess this is a good reminder to practice not pointing the gun at anything you don't intend to shoot. That includes when racking the slide, working on the gun, etc, etc. It is easy to find yourself pointing it to the side if you are not paying attention. If you practice it cons...

Re: "Swatting" claims another innocent victim shot by LEO

What's being done about the swatter's creating this mayhem...? I am also interested in how Police can modify their tactics so they stop shooting innocent people. In this case, I am having trouble understanding how the officer's life was in danger when all he had to do was duck down and clear out. K...
